
I thought I would share 2 children’s book with you which you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 25: Knight Owl and Early Bird by Christopher Denise which is a Caldecott Honor Winner. As well as Knight Owl’s Little Christmas (The Knight Owl Series. I need to pick up Book 3 of 3: The Knight Owl. I received a copy of these books in exchange for this review. I sat down this morning to work but I had Knight Owl and Early Bird sitting on my desk. The cover on the book kept drawing me in. Before I knew what was happening I stopped work and started to thumb through the children’s book.
Before I share my thoughts with you I wanted to let you know you should see the cover with blues and yellows. The Owl is wearing a knights uniform with a red scarf. You should see his eyes looking at the baby Bird who has a pack like a Hobo would carry thrown over his back. In the background we can see part of a Castle. I would have liked to visit. Would you like to go with me?
Early Bird thinks Knight Owl is the greatest and she wants to be brave like him and protect the castle. Knight Owl thinks Baby Bird is too noisy and chatty. What will it take for them to become friends? To find out you will need to pick up a copy of Knight Owl and Early Bird.
Early Bird ask so may questions Knight Owl can’t sleep. Which we find out is because Baby Bird is excited and wants to learn what Knight Owl does. Questions as we all know leads to knowledge. The funny part is some of the questions Baby Bird asked like what is your cape for” is questions I would have asked as well.
Knight Owl tells baby Bird he can’t teach him right now because he is to tired. Baby Birds finds things to keep herself busy all day long. That afternoon Knight Owl and Baby Bird went to work but before the Sun set and Baby Bird falls asleep.
The next morning Baby Bird tries to wake Knight Owl who rolls over and goes to sleep instead of going on a adventure with Baby Bird. Baby Birds stays busy and that night Owl keeps the castle safe. The next morning baby Bird once again tries to get Knight Owls attention.
Can you guess what happens this time? If not you will need to pick up a copy of Knight Owl and Early Bird I’m not going to tell you what happens. But Baby Bird goes away and Knight Owl gets worried and sets off to find baby Bird.
Knight Owl hears a noise but it doesn’t sound like baby Bird. What was it? I’m not telling you need to read Knight Owl and Early Bird to find out. There is a Rescue Mission but who saves who and who did they protect them from? Before you ask no, I’m not going to tell you. You have to read Knight Owl and Early Bird to find out.

For Christmas I have Knight Owl’s Little Christmas the perfect addition to our Christmas Gift Guide 25. Knight Owl and Baby Bird are decorating a Christmas Tree. I wish you could see all of the Snow on the ground. It’s so pretty.
Knight Owl and Baby Bird are counting down the days until Christmas. Wouldn’t that be fun to do? There wrapping gifts which I love to do as well. Owl is baking Cookies. I wish I could have a Cookie. Don’t you? Early Bird is decorating the Cookies. No, Sprinkles for me please.
Then they share the Cookis. Now, let throw Snowballs. Look there going sledding. I wish I could go. Don’t you? Its time to sing Christmas carols. Would you like to join us? Now, its time to decorate the Tree. Wait until you see what the Christmas Tree is which David is going to want.
Look at Early Bird putting the star on the Tree. Its time for stories come join us around the Fire. Anyone want a treat or two? Knight Owl’s Little Christmas (The Knight Owl Series) is the perfect addition to our Christmas Books we read each year.
Knight Owl’s Little Christmas (The Knight Owl Series) is the perfect book for toddler and older children as well and yes, adults will enjoy the story just as much as children will. Knight Owl’s Little Christmas would also make a wonderful Teachers and Librarian Gift.
