My family is adamant that we celebrate one #Holiday at a time. and even though it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet, everyone around us is celebrating Christmas including Hallmark. I wanted to share a new addition to our Children’s Gift Guide 2025: The Shiniest Star a children’s book I purchased when Charlie was just a baby from a Craft Show David and I attended.
The Shiniest Star by Beth Vardon (Author) is a vintage children’s book which is the perfect book to read to children not only during Christmas Holidays but year-round, the story is for children of all ages. Adults will enjoy this story as well. I love the baby Angel on the cover of the book which has blond hair and blue eyes just like my nephew David Micheal.
The Angel’s name is Touslehead isn’t that the cutest name ever? Touselhead has a sister and they look as close as my nephew David M. and Suzzie were. I love the black Lamb that is outside there window. I wish I could have the Lamb as my pet. How about you?
We learn Little Angels argue just like siblings do. Touselhead is upset because his Star doesn’t shine as bright as everyone else’s. Pigtail decides to go back to bed because her Star was shinning so bright while Touselhead keeps working.
The Little Angles began to sing “Peace On Earth and Good Will to Men” something we still hear today. You should see the Angel playing the harp she is so pretty . Look at the curls in her hair. I wish I had hair like that.
We learn Touslehead is bashful and he thinks he and his star aren’t wanted which isn’t the case looks at the Camels looking up at his Star. They were lonely and helpless. Then the men say, ” It’s the Star that God has promised, the Star of Guidance, Star of Love!”
Can you believe it was Tousleheads Star they were talking about? Tousehead fly’s back to Betelhem because the men where looking for Baby Jesus. The reached the manager with the Stars as bright as day.
Can you guess which Angel was the happiest? The Shiniest Star has pages that pop open capturing our attention. Including the Wise Men you can remove to place in the Manger scene if you want to. Which were not doing so the manager doesn’t get lost or tore up.
