Construction Site: Merry and Bright: A Christmas Lift-the-Flap Book

Children's Book Reviews

I would like to share a children’s book Charlie and David would have loved when he was little and still loves as a teenager/man just as David and I do. The book is called Construction Site: Merry and Bright: A Christmas Lift-the-Flap Book – by Sherri Duskey Rinker and Ag Ford. I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review. I wanted to surprise David and Charlie with Construction Site: Merry and Bright: A Christmas Lift-the-Flap Book to give them during the Christmas Holidays but I had the book sitting on my desk when Charlie found it and showed David when he got home.

Charlie and David climbed on my couch and Charlie began reading Construction Site: Merry and Bright together. It was fun hearing there excitement over each flap they opened up. David was able to share the Machines he used to drive for work when Charlie was little with him. Allowing Charlie to get to know his dad more.

Charlie looked up the jobs the machines did and Charlie had fun drawing the machines in the book and coloring them. Then my family made Cookies in the shapes of the trucks in the book.

I loved seeing all the Christmas Decorations in the book and the Christmas Wreath. We’ve never had a Christmas Wreath and now my family wants to order one this Christmas but I think we will create a Wreath for my home. Charlie, David and I plan on purchasing trucks we say in the book to put on our wreath.

Charlie came up with Lesson Plans anyone can use who is #Homeschooling when reading Construction Site: Merry and Bright: A Christmas Lift-the-Flap Book. Charlie came up with a song about the trucks in the book which we could have used in our Homeschool Music Class when Charlie was #Homeschooling but since Charlie has graduated we will just sing for fun.
