Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle

Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle is a children’s book Charlie and I received to review. They sent me this book for free but the thoughts in this review are all mine as well as my friends and families. I would like to thank the company for our book as Mickey is one of mine and Charlie’s favorite characters.

As a parent, there are things I want to make sure Charlie learns because it will determine the type of adult Charlie will turn out to be. Here is a few things I want to make sure Charlie learn and they are for Charlie to be kind, caring and to learn to read. I also want Charlie to learn to take care of the environment.

For Charlie to do this we needed to practice being green in many ways. I know I could our family can do a much better job of being green. Which through Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle we can learn new and different things to do help save our environment.

When I was approached to review Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle I knew this would be a great book for our family to use in Homeschooling. The story would give Charlie something new to read and practice his reading skills with. The storyline would hold his attention because Mickey Mouse is the main character. I also knew this new book would catch both David and Debbie’s attention as it helps us become more “GREEN”.

Once Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle arrived I sat down to read it by myself before I shared it with Charlie. This way I could make sure Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle would be something Charlie would understand and enjoy. Once I started to read the story and saw all the characters in the book I knew Charlie would enjoy the story.

I also found jokes in Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle. Charlie would be able to share this story with his friends. Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle is chalked full of tips which Charlie can share with his classmates. As well as David and my sister Debbie.

Here are one of the tip inside Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle

“If you turn off the water when you brush your teeth you save over eight gallons of water every day. “ If I could get Charlie to turn the water off it would be wonderful. Although I also need to remember to turn the water off so I can’t get on Charlie when I do the same thing.

With the water, we save from Brushing our Teeth we could water our garden. Or we could use the water to water our dogs. Charlie let me know we could put out bowls of water for the cats that come and visit and I let Charlie know the Birds would like the water as well. What would you use the water for?

Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle is a perfect book for both adults and children and we can learn a lot through this new book. I think all schools should have a copy of Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle in their classrooms as everyone can learn from the tips inside this book.

As Charlie and I was talked Charlie reminded me this book could be used as a lesson book for Science. If you homeschooling Please check out Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle ou. I am sure this book would make a nice addition to the books you use in your classroom.

I like how this new book teaches lessons in a fun and entertaining way. The illustrations are appealing and catch your eye. Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle is a book where you can read the chapters you chose to read and you do not have to read this book from cover to cover for it make sense. Which is good for my family as I might not always be able to sit down and read the whole book at one time.

One of my favorite parts of Disney Go Green: A Family Guide to a Sustainable Lifestyle was the “container garden” as it showed Charlie and me how to start a container garden of our own and with Summer here I have been thinking of setting one up for Charlie and me to do together. Since reading that section of the book I know putting together a container garden wouldn’t be that hard. I know I can use recycled items in our garden which leads us to a sustainable garden.

If there were books in this series I can tell you I would be purchasing them and also giving them as gifts. I hope to be able to have the Author of this new children’s book will come and share a guest post  or an interview for us because I would like to learn more about the Author and how this book came about.

If you would like to purchase this book for yourself or your friends or family you can find this new book at Walmart, Amazon, Target and other major retailers which makes purchasing the book super easy!!
