Eating the Alphabet: Fruits & Vegetables from A to Z (Voyager Books)

It’s been a while since I shared our letter of the week lesson plans. My mother n law had surgery yesterday. I knew that wouldn’t matter to my niece. She would still have her watch her daughter Payton. In order for her to remain busy David and I went to the library and picked out books for Granny Sherry to read to Payton. One of the books we checked out was Eating the Alphabet: Fruits & Vegetables from A to Z (Voyager Books) Kindle Edition.

I chose this book as it would allow Payton to work on her colors and shapes. As well as being easy enough that Charlie could read this book to her. Which would allow Granny Sherry to rest. I even showed David and Charlie how they could do some art lessons with Payton using this new book.

I did sit down to read the story and I enjoyed it a lot and would like to purchase a copy for Elijah. As I know this is a book Leslie would enjoy reading to her son. I could even see picking up a copy for my niece Lily and nephew Jason. As both of them are learning their ABC’s shapes and colors.

While teaching upper- and lowercase letters to preschoolers, Ehlert introduces fruits and vegetables from around the world. A glossary at the end provides interesting facts about each food.
