Alcohol/ Alcoholic Beverages Holidays Recipes

Welcome to Sunday January 11thth. I know a lot of us will be getting ready for a new week beginning tomorrow but if you’re looking for something to do with your friends and family, I wanted to share a list of holiday’s being celebrated today.

January 11 National Hot Toddy Day #hottoddayday which is for adults 21 plus or if you want a fun holiday to share with your children January 11th is National Milk Day #NationalMilkDay and it’s the perfect day for Milk and Cookies. Isn’t it?

Or you could celebrate January 11th which is National Sunday Supper Day #sundaysupper. Grab your family and get into the kitchen this evening and make dinner together. If we had the ingredients I would have made one of my grandmother’s meals like a Roast or Poor Man Soup.

Being National Hot Toddy Day I wanted to let you know a Hot Toddy is the classic cold‑weather companion David says. A Hot Toddy is traditionally made with hot water, honey, lemon, and spices. Many people enjoy a Hot Toddy as a soothing evening drink, especially during chilly January nights. Don’t forget a Hot Toddy is one of those timeless winter rituals that feels both nostalgic and comforting.

Come and join David and I and let’s warm up our January with a classic Hot Toddy. A Hot Toddy has been enjoyed for generations as a soothing winter warmer, blending honey, lemon, and spices into a mug of pure comfort.

When having a Hot Toddy is doesn’t matter if you’re curling up with a good book, hosting a quiet family evening, or simply looking for a moment of calm, a Hot Toddy brings a little glow to the coldest days of the year. Celebrate National Hot Toddy Day by sharing a cup with someone you love. #HotToddyDay

National Milk Day is celebrated on January 11th, and it is a sweet moment to celebrate one of the most classic staples in every home. From morning cereal to warm bedtime mugs, milk has been part of family traditions for generations.

National Milk Day honors the day milk was first delivered in sterilized glass bottles back in 1878. Which was a small innovation that changed how families enjoyed fresh dairy. Today is the perfect excuse to pour a cold glass, whip up a creamy dessert, or teach kids where their food comes from. Celebrate with a favorite recipe, a milk‑themed craft, or a cozy moment around the table. #NationalMilkDay. If your #Homeschooling your children have them study #Milk and take a #FieldTrip to a local Farm.

We also celebrate National Sunday Supper Day which brings families around the table for a warm, comforting meal. It’s celebrated every year on the second Sunday in January, making it a perfect reset after the holiday rush and a beautiful reminder of the power of shared meals.

National Sunday Supper Day is a celebration of family, food, and togetherness! National Sunday Supper Day encourages families to slow down, unplug, and reconnect over a comforting Sunday meal. Whether it’s a classic roast, a pot of pasta, or a simple home‑cooked favorite, today is all about sharing stories, laughter, and love around the table.

Which holiday would you want to celebrate and why?

Thank you,
