It’s Wednesday, and time for our Homeschool Resource: Language Arts. I would like to ask you to check out the Recommended Website: National Chocolate Day! Doesn’t that sound yummy?
Age Range: 5-11 (1-6, with parental supervision) Today is National Chocolate Day! This could be the our favorite day of the year. While there are many Chocolate related holidays throughout the year, National Chocolate Day is a holiday to celebrate all things Chocolate.
As one of America’s favorite flavors, Chocolate is well deserving of its own day of honor and celebration. We thought you might enjoy some Chocolate-themed activities to celebrate this tasty day.
The Teachers Corner site is loaded with Chocolate activities! Just to name a few:
- Chocolate Touch (Grades 4-5) – Read the book and participate in writing activities using Hershey kisses.
- Math Activities (Grades 1-6) – using the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as the subject.
- Look through this site further to find many other Chocolate Day activities using math and science
Here are a few more sites to check out: ReadAnyBook.com – Download Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – the 119 page book for free.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
