Homeschool Resource: Home Alone

David and I were in Walmart’s the other day and David found the Soundtrack for Home Alone Christmas (Clear with Red & Green “Christmas Party” Swirl Vinyl Edition). Which is a Christmas movie but I couldn’t remember if Charlie had seen these movies or not. If you was to ask me I believe Home Alone is a classic movie.

I thought we would watch Home Alone this week and study this movie. Would you like to join us for Movie Night? Charlie will furnish snacks Charlie makes in his Homeschool Cooking Class. If you’ve seen Home Alone leave me a comment with your favorite part of the movie or quote to share with Charlie.

Home Alone[a] is a series of American Christmas family comedy films originally created by John Hughes, and directed by Chris Columbus (12), Raja Gosnell (3), Rod Daniel (4), Peter Hewitt (5), and Dan Mazer (6). The films revolve around the adventures surrounding children who find themselves alone during the holiday season and are faced with the challenge of defending their family’s house or themselves from invading burglars and criminals.

The first three films were released theatrically by 20th Century Fox, while the following two made-for-television films were produced by Fox Television Studios, aired on the Disney-owned ABC. Following the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney, a sixth film in the franchise was produced by the newly renamed 20th Century Studios for the Disney-owned streaming service Disney+. Also, an R-rated seventh film, intended to be directed by Augustine Frizzell, entered development hell.[citation needed]
