Charlie came downstairs this morning to ask me a question. Charlie saw the children’s book Like You, Like Me sitting on my desk. Charlie said mom look at the paper airplanes on the book. we should make airplanes together. I
said Charlie look closer at the Airplanes. There have stamps on them. Charlie thought that was neat and couldn’t wait to open the book up to see where the Airplanes might be going. But first he asked if we could make some to give to our neighbors.
We opened the book to read the story and discovered a Glob that showed where Tulsi’s home is. If we had still been #Homeschooling full time we could have studied Like You, Like Me in our Homeschool Geography Class when we study Countries.
Charlie and I liked how the librarian recommended a pen pal for Tulsi. Even though Charlie isn’t Homeschooling now because he has graduated pen pals would still be fun. If your #Homeschooling your students you could use Like You, Like Me in your Homeschool Creative Writing Course if your students are taking one.
If you have children and they live in a State besides Texas and would like to have a Pen pal let me and Charlie know. No, matter the age of the child or adult man or women Charlie and I would be excited to be your pen pal.
My family thought it was fun to lean how to say Hello in Kiswahili. Before you ask me no, I’m not going to tell you how. You will have to pick up a copy of Like You, Like Me to find out. The character in the book would ask each other questions allowing them to learn about each other’s Countries which was fun.’
We learned the characters in the book each have two houses. Then we learned the character each have siblings just like Charlie and I have. Do you have siblings? If you do and they don’t live near you they could be your pen pal.
Charlie and I liked learning what the characters do for music. You could study this in your homeschool music class. One of them is Homeschooled like Charlie and the other rides a bus to school like Charlie’s best friend Bradley did. Charlie thought it was fun to find out one likes to read books about Outer Space like Charlie does.
Both characters like to find things which Charlie and I do when we go on walks. Do you do this as well? We learned which Animals they would like to be. You can study these animals if your create lessons on animals. To find out what else they like to do you will need to pick up your own copy of Like You, Like Me which I hope you share with your friends and family.
