MONOPOLY® Peanuts

This is a review for Monopoly Peanuts which I received from The Op in exchange for this review.

It’s been a crazy couple weeks with kids in and out. The William moving in here with us. Charlies homeschool has been sporadic at best. Which isn’t good when you’re going into high school. With David working this morning and William at school I knew Charlie and I needed to get back on track with school.

When my Monopoly Peanuts Game arrived the other day, I put it up in our Gift Closet to give Charlie for Easter. Although, I had thought about keeping it for myself to add to my Monopoly collection. I still need and want the Monopoly Dr. Seuss Monopoly game if you’re looking for a Gift for me. Because I love hosting Family game Nights and Spring Break is right around the corner.

Since I hadn’t had lessons prepared this morning, I made a cup of Hot Tea for me and Coffee for Charlie. Then sat down to work on lessons for this morning. But I wasn’t in the mood and decided to throw caution to the wind. I went to the game shelf to pick out a board game for us to play. There wasn’t no, game calling to me this. morning.

I began to walk downstairs and passed the Gift Closet and opened the door to see which games was in there. As I did, I saw Monopoly Peanuts Charlie didn’t know we had. I knew this was the perfect game to play. There is reading and math involved and also you have to have patience and take turns. Which neither Charlie nor I am good at.

We can set a timer to play for a certain length of time which Charlie likes to refer to as sudden death. Or we could play until someone goes bankrupt which if you want to know the truth is usually me. Because Charlie doesn’t like purchasing things when playing. Which is half the fun being it? I opened the box and set the game up before I called Charlie downstairs.

This way I could choose which piece I wanted for my token. Can you guess what I choose? Well, it was the Pumpkin from the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Charlie surprised me and picked out the Football because he said it would be like David was playing with us because they play Football together.

Charlie and I loved the colors of the money and that they had Charlie Brown characters on the money. Then Charlie and I looked through the Good Grief cards and as we discussed each one, I could see how we could use them during Spring Break to get us outside and moving. From flying a kite to planting flowers. Would you like to join us during Spring Break to see all the different ways you can use Monopoly Peanuts in Homeschooling.

From getting kids off electronics, to having people over to interact with. As well as leaning colors, counting and reading. As well as leading to new lessons plans as Charlie and I plan on studying Peanuts soon and I will be creating a Lesson Plan and including this game. If you would like to know when the lesson plan is done leave me a comment.
