November 22 National Cranberry Relish Day #CranberryRelishDay

Food Holidays Recipes

I don’t know about you but one of my favorite dishes to have on Thanksgiving is Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce and I like the whole Cranberry Sauce not the Berries like my grandmother would serve when we would eat at her home.

David is the same way I am. As for Charlie he doesn’t like any kind of Cranberry Sauce because he doesn’t know what’s good. As a child I remember my grandmother using the Cranberry Sauce as Jelly on her Biscuits and before you ask yes, I’ve done it to.

I wanted to let you know November 22nd is National Cranberry Relish Day #CranberryRelishDay a #Holiday I will pass on. If your #Homeschooling your children get them into the kitchen and let them make Homemade Cranberry Relish. I’ve shared a recipe you can use below:

Cranberry Relish Recipe

Key Ingredients

  • Fresh cranberries – the star of the dish, tart and vibrant
  • Orange – adds citrusy sweetness and zest
  • Apple – balances tartness with natural sugar
  • Granulated sugar – enhances flavor and preserves freshness

🍊 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Pulse cranberries in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
  2. Chop apple finely and add to the cranberries.
  3. Chop orange (including peel for extra zest) and add to the mix.
  4. Stir in sugar until well combined.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 3 days) before serving.

🌟 Serving Ideas

  • Pair with roast turkey or ham for a classic holiday side.
  • Spread on sandwiches with leftover turkey.
  • Use as a topping for yogurt or oatmeal for a festive breakfast.
  • Mix into cream cheese for a quick party dip.

This relish is bright, tangy, and refreshing, making it a standout addition to any Thanksgiving or Christmas table.

Now I would like to ask you a question. Would you like me to also share a no-cook version that’s even faster to prepare? If so leave me a comment and I will get to work on it asap.

Thank you,
