Picture Yourself in Mesquite Fam Tour

Charlie, David and I were blessed this weekend when we were chosen to attend Picture Yourself in Mesquite Fam Tour. This is the very first time my family has had this type of opportunity.

I would like to thank the City of Mesquite for hosting us and Hampton Inn and Suites. I would like to let you know this is the first time I have stayed in a Hampton Inn and Suites.

Once we arrived in Mesquite we took the advice of our host and had lunch at the Porch Swing. A down home family style restaurant. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we had thought of returning this evening to listen to the Live Music.

David was tired from working all week and as soon as Charlie saw the Pool and that it was opened until 10 he didn’t want to go anywhere. We also went and worked out that evening together in the Fitness Center.

Charlie and I climbed into the bed I planned on sleeping in because we had two queen beds and we didn’t want to bother David who had gone to sleep.

Charlie and I watched movies together while having a snack from the little store they have in the Hotel. Charlie and I were excited to find out the Treat Shop would be open 24/7 because we might get hungry in the middle of the night.

Charlie let me know he wanted to check out the restroom and when Charlie found the Rain Head Shower Head he spent hours in the shower. I took advantage of the quite and cat napped even though I had brought a book to read.

I knew once Charlie was out of the shower he would keep me busy playing Wrestling or drawing in his new sketchbook I picked up for the trip. Being able to cuddle with Charlie was nice because he’s getting older and doesn’t like to spend a lot of time with me.

I’ll be sharing my thoughts on our lunch at the Porch Swing tomorrow and our adventurers at Town Center Mall along with the adventures we do while on the tour and watching the Mesquite Rodeo.

I wonder if I could lasso a COWBOY to bring home to my sister Debbie along with a Palomino Horse for her and Suzzie. If there is a

Clydesdale I

would have to leave there horse and get the Clydesdale for myself

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David DCates
