School of Rock in the DFW

Charlie has always loved Music and Charlie has a Guitar we need to get down and let Charlie take lessons. This way we could see if Music is something Charlie would like to pursue. Although just the other day Charlie let me know he would like to learn to play the Drums. Which is what I played in High School.

I was trying to figure out if I could budget for lessons and get Charlie back and forth to classes. Then the Lord answered our PRAYERS as we were approached by the School of Rock. Even though I haven’t been able to connect with the School of Rock. I wanted to share information with you about the School of Rock.

It’s a New Year and the perfect time to begin new Hobbies. As well as finding Music Classes we would be able to use if we were still Homeschooling full time which we aren’t doing. But I know Music classes would help Charlie in so many ways in school. As well as letting Charlie practice his reading daily.

I would like to let you know the School of Rock offers the following classes Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons, Singing/ Vocal Lessons, Piano/Keyboard Lessons, Bass Lessons. I must tell you we have enough children in our neighborhood that if we were able to get them all to the the School of Rock we would have our own band.

School of Rock in the DFW area is a performance-based music school where we foster kids’ love for rock music by allowing them to perform on live venues with a band of their peers.

At the School of Rock Dallas, our music program for children with no previous musical experience (typically ages 5 to 6-years-old) is called Rookies. Rookie students have one weekly group music lesson where they learn fundamentals like chords, rhythm and song structure. Kids get to learn and experiment with multiple instruments so they can later decide which one they ultimately want to continue pursuing in Rock 101.

THE PATH TO TAKE THE STAGE

All of our music programs are designed to inspire students to learn and develop a strong musical proficiency. At the School of Rock, younger students who are’t ready for a more comprehensive program like Rock 101 can start in Rookies. No prior musical experience is needed for Rookies. Once your child is ready for private music lessons (typically older than first or second graders), they will graduate into our Rock 101 program.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
