Meet Spencer, a sweet Kitten friend who will familiarize babies and toddlers with lots of early vocabulary words! In Spencer on the Farm from Workman Publishing; which ion sale for $6.95 which is cheaper than a kids meal at a lot of restaurants we take our children to. Unlike the food that disappears they will have this book for a long long time and read it again and again.

They say Spencer on the Farm is for ages 0 to 4. Charlie is 14 and Charlie enjoyed not only the story but the illustrations just as David and I did. We also shared the book with my nieces and nephew who are from 2 up to 9 years old. Both the boys and girls loved meeting Spencer and Farmer Maggie learning more about the animals on the Farm and other things including a tractor you might see on a Farm. Which has lead Charlie to wanting to go on a Homeschool Field Trip to a Farm. Would you like to go with us?

Spencer embarks on exciting new adventures exploring a farm with his family and attending his very first day of preschool. Spencer on the Farm is a adorable die-cut board book shaped just like Spenser. They’ve used bright, bold illustrations, simple text, and vocabulary which they’ve labeled on each page helping young readers with language acquisition and reinforcement. In read-along fun as little readers learn along with their new friend.

Charlie and I discussed who he thought this book would be for and Charlie thinks all Pre-Schools and Day Cares should have a copy in there library. David said children of all ages and adults who like Kittens should have a copy of the book. As for me I could even see adults wanting a copy of the book and if there homeschooling like I am they could use the book to decorate there classroom.

Charlie had fun creating even more stories about Spenser and using the words in the book for our Spelling Test this week. We looked up Kittens and how to take care of them. As well as what might or might not happen on a Farm. Charlie and I talked about the cover and we went over the items on the front of the book and how we could use Corn, Milk and a Apple in our Homeschool Cooking Class this week.

I loved how surprised the kids was as we began reading Spencer On The Farm and they discovered there was also a Bunny in the book which lead to even more Homeschooling Lessons. As well as a visit to our local Pet Store to see Rabbits and Kittens in person.
