Tasty Minstrel’s Martian Dice Games

I would like to share a fun tidbit about Charlie with you. Charlie loves Zombies and Martians, and as I was browsing online, I found a company called Tasty Minstrels Games. I contacted them to see if they would be open to us conducting a review for them. Which they were and before I begin my discussion I would like to let you know they sent me Martian Dice in exchange for this report, but the thoughts in the review are all mine and mine alone.

Here are two facts of how we will be using Tasty Minstrel’s Martian Dice in our home not only for Family Game Nights but also in the classes I teach Charlie as he is going to continue Homeschooling next year.

We can use Tasty Minstrel’s Martian Dice in art and Charlie can draw the items he finds on the dice. I can have Charlie write a story about the dice and act it out for David and I. Then Charlie, and I can discuss the colors he used in his artwork and why he chose those colors. Then we can explain what other colors he could have used and why.

We can use Tasty Minstrel’s Martian Dice in math for counting or subtraction by making up problems using the dice. Or we can use them for multiplying and dividing which Charlie will be learning soon.

We can play Martian Dice for fun. Now I would like to let you know I can hear Charlie and David fighting and yelling. I will be laughing so hard that I end up with the Hiccups which will make me furious which is ok as it allows us to make memories and that is one of the things I like to do the most.

If you haven’t heard of Tasty Minstrel games I hope you take the time to check out on there website because  I am sure you will find other games you would like to try out just as I did for Charlie.

Once again if you chose to homeschool your children or even if they attend public schools Board Games allow us to teach our children in new and unusual ways. Make sure you think outside the box when playing with them and use the game in different ways to keep the excitement happening.

Here are 5 ways we will use our Martian Dice from Tasty Minstrel.

  1. Adding
  2. Subtraction
  3. Art
  4. Storytelling
  5. Learning about shapes and colors

What would you teach if you had Martian Dice and who would you teach it to? Do you homeschool your children? Or have you thought about Homeschooling and if so would you use Board Games to teach classes?

Did you know Board Games work well with children that suffer from ADHD?
