Unique Holidays: April 16th, 2021

OMG as I was preparing to share our series on Unique Holidays: April 16th, 2021 with everyone. I found out its its National BBQ Day and I didn’t know it. But the Lord must have been preparing me because my best friend and I was talking on Friday about going and having BBQ.

Then today is Sunday and when Charlie is good during the week I order dinner for us and most of the times its from Dickey’s Barbeque Pit. Have you eaten here?

Although, if I had my way I would rather cook my own Barbecue especially Ribs and Brisket but David is working today and will not be home to help me.

But I could use the Chicken I took out last night to make Chicken and Rice with and turn it into Barbecue Chicken which I know Charlie and David would enjoy.

I just wish I had the time to prepare my moms Potato Salad and the Baked Beans I like and Deviled Eggs Charlie loves. If you were to make Barbecue what would you fix and why?

National BBQ Day is celebrated every May 16th and this day commemorates one of the most favorite foods and food activities of all time – BBQ. BBQ is short for barbecue and is a cooking activity where people grill seasoned meat then eat it afterward.

There are many kinds of seasonings and people can choose depending on the flavor they want. In general, the flavors, seasonings, and sauces vary from one place to another. But wherever you may come from, it is best to take part in the celebration of the National BBQ Day.

About the National BBQ Day

During National BBQ Day, people conduct various activities that let them achieve the objectives of the event. For one, people eat BBQ in their own homes by preparing all the ingredients and cooking materials needed for it.

Other people may opt to dine in at restaurants that sell BBQ. People also shout out on social media how they’re celebrating this special food holiday. If you are don’t forget to share.

History

Unfortunately, even with extensive research were not sure as to how National BBQ Day started or even who founded it. But still, we can make a good guess as to why it became a much celebrated event.

Perhaps, a person or group of people thought that most of us love barbecuing and that it would be a good idea to start a celebration solely dedicated for that. and with that, National BBQ Day was born.
