Valentines Day Gift Guide Sponsor Thinkfun

I was sitting down to work on Charlie’s schoolwork for the week I thought I would go through some emails. And I am so glad I did as I am happy to announce Thinkfun is joining us for this year’s Valentines Day Gift Guide. Thinkfun has submitted two Games for this year’s Valentines Day Gift Guide, and you will find more about them below. I would like to let you know Thinkfun is sending us the Games for free but the thoughts in the review are my families and no one else.

You all know we use the Game’s we receive for Family Game Night as it helps Charlie with his ADHD. They teach him patience and mental focus. But we also use the Games in Homeschool for different classes as it seems to keep Charlie more interested in his school work. If you Homeschool your children do you use Games to teach with and if not why not?

Math Dice Chase

Below are the two Games Thinkfun has submitted for this year’s Valentines Day Gift Guide.  I am so excited as I can’t wait to get  Math Dice Chase Game. I think this new game will help improve Charlie’s math grade because it keeps him focused. Also, it would help both Charlie and me from getting bored with the math work we have been doing.

We can take Math Dice Chase with us when we are out and about and still get Homeschool accomplished. As I read the description, my mind was running a thousand miles a minute on things we could do with Math Dice Chase.

I can’t wait till it arrives to get both David and Charlies thoughts as I am sure they will enjoy Math Dice Chase as much as I am going to. I am sure Math Dice Chase will make teaching math so much more comfortable. Not only that we can play Math Dice Chase on Family Game Night and I am sure it will be a big hit.

Math Dice Chase – A Mathematical Hot Potato
Builds multiplication skills, and can be adapted for younger learners to practice addition and subtraction.  Invented by a teacher and perfect for the classroom!
Math Dice Chase is one part hot potato and one part math! Players begin by arranging themselves in a circle. You and the player directly across from you each roll a set of 12-sided dice and race to multiply your numbers together. Quickly shout out the answer and pass the dice as fast as you can. Think fast – this math game is a race and you don’t want to get caught with both sets of dice! Available nationwide on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and at neighborhood toy stores. Multiple Players, grades 3 and up; MSRP $6.99.

Stratos Spheres Lo-Res Spill

The second game is the Stratos Spheres it is a two-player Game which means Charlie and David will have to play it by themselves while I am working which will bring them closer together.  When Charlie and I are working on Math, we can play Stratos Spheres as allow us to work on patterns and this is something we have been studying.

We can draw the patterns we make for art or Charlie can write stories about what happened as we played the game for Language Arts. Even though Stratos Spheres is a game for fun, it can be a learning tool. I love when toys have multiple purposes. Are you the same way?

Stratos Spheres -2-Player Strategy Game
Ages 7 to adult, MSRP $9.99

Take four-in-a-row to a whole new dimension with Stratos Spheres! Stratos Spheres loses the 2-D board and lets you build the game – and your logic skills – as you go. To start, add one of your colored spheres to the white neutral field and pass it to your opponent. Your opponent then adds an area of their color. This 2-player game goes back and forth until one player gets four of their spheres in a row – in any dimension. With its 3-D construction, Stratos Spheres takes a classic play pattern and adds a dynamic new level of strategy and fun! Available nationwide on Amazon and at neighborhood toy stores.
