Kid Friendly Lucky Treats

Kid Friendly Lucky TreatsQue Rica Vida Lucky Cereal Treats

I still remember cooking with both my grandparents when I was little. And I think that is where Charlie has gotten his love of cooking. As Charlie has loved cooking since he was 2. So there has been times when Charlie was able to take cooking classes. And one of the classes even allowed Charlie to get inside a Food Truck to cook. And I must admit I was jealous and wish I had been able to get inside the truck as well.

So when we decided to Homeschool Charlie we sat down to discuss what classes Charlie would like to take and one of them was cooking. So at first we was doing good and getting Charlie to cook dinner with us a couple nights a week. But then I slacked off and quit having Charlie help.

But now that David is back working nights and it is just Charlie and I I do not want to always be the one to cook dinner. So I decided to get Charlie more involved in cooking and have decided we will use one night a week for Game Night and on this night Charlie can make dinner. And this includes a dessert for us. As we both would eat dessert even when we do not want food.

As Charlie and I were in the grocery store the other day I knew we needed Cereal and I asked Charlie what kind he would like he asked for Lucky Charms and I picked out Cheerios and I reminded Charlie we could use the cereal in the desserts he would be making. And when I said that Charlie was so excited that he came right home and made us Lucky Charm Bars. And the hardest part of making the Lucky Charm Bars was waiting for them to get done so we could eat them. So if you would like to make these for your family you can find them at Que Rica Vida.

What I liked about making the Lucky Charm Bars was it takes items we always have in our home. And they weren’t complicated to make. And Charlie can make them by himself. The only time I needed to be in the kitchen was when Charlie was is using the stove. But I saw how concentrated Charlie was in measuring out the items and in stirring the Lucky Charm Bars that I know cooking and using the site Que Rica Vida will become a staple in our home. As it will help Charlie remain calm and focused.

And as we cook I can share memories of his sister and I cooking her favorite meals. Or the items my grandmothers and I used to make together when I was a child. As I still love the items they made for me as a child and wish they was here to share them with Charlie. But more than that I wish my mom was here so Charlie could try out her Potato Salad and Charlie could make her these Lucky Charm Bars as I know my mom would love them as they have Peanut Butter in them.

And I can not wait until David gets home this evening so he can try the Lucky Charm Bars out. And Charlie has asked if he can make 2 more pans so he can take one to his Aunt and also one to my mother in law and his sister Leslie as he thinks they will love theLucky Charm Bars. And I am sure they will as Charlie made them himself.

And instead of my mother in law and Charlie making a cake the next time he goes done they can check out Que Rica Vida and pick out there favorite cereal and make a new dessert or if I am lucky the Pancakes as I would like to try them. And if I am correct my mother in law would like the parfait.

So as you do your grocery shopping make sure and check out Walmart for your breakfast needs. And if you are in need of something new and fun for breakfast, lunch or dinner check out Que Rica Vida pinterest boards.

Now come and share with me one of your favotie memories of cooking as a child and what you and your children do and your favorite items are to make.

Because I used to love with my dads mom would make Homemade Applesauce and I was allowed to help her make it. And I still remember going outside and gathering the apples for her and watching her peel the apples and putting them into a huge pan and stirring the Apple Sauce and putting it into the jars. And once it was done she would give us a taste. And it was like Heaven. And the Applesauce in the store sure doesn’t touch the homemade Applesauce we used to get.

And my moms grandmother as I got older would make me Homemade Hamburger Steaks and Brown Gravy and Homemade French Fries for my brother. And no, matter how many times we had this for dinner. It was what I always asked for. And even though I make the Hamburger Steaks they do not touch my grandmothers. And neither does my sisters Chicken and Dumplings.

So now you see why I still remember cooking with both my grandparents when I was little.
