We completed the #Listerine 21 Day Challenge

You all know from a previous post I shared with you my family was involved in the Listerine 21 day Challenge. I am so glad was decided to take part in the Listerine 21 Day Challenge as it has brought us closer together as a family. Also it has helped us overcome some challenges we dealt with with in taking care of our teeth.

I am one that gets up before everyone else so Charlie wouldn’t see me brushing my teeth. So a lot of times when I asked him to brush his he would say why? When  you don’t brush your teeth? Which was not true and he thought that because  he never saw me brush my teeth.

So to keep an argument down and to fix this problem I started to wait until Charlie would get up for school and then we would go in and brush our teeth together.

Which was fun as we would see who could brush the longest as well as make the funniest faces. This created many new memories for Charlie and I. Which lead to us doing the same thing at night together.

When I would tell Charlie it was bedtime and to brush his teeth I would find the items I used to brush my teeth set out as well. So I made it a point to brush our teeth together then climb into bed with him for Prayers and book time which Charlie enjoyed a lot.

I did as well as it allowed me to have some time with Charlie that I wouldn’t normally get. Also it allowed Charlie to relax and I would learn more about his day by doing this.

Once David saw how much fun Charlie and I was having with the Listerine 21 Day Challenge he even started to brush his teeth with us in the morning which was a lot of fun.

David isn’t home much to do these types of things with Charlie. Both Charlie and David would make the craziest faces that I could not stop laughing and I would end up with the Hiccups which they thought was so funny.

I can tell you since I have started the Listerine 21 Day Challenge that my teeth look cleaner and that they are not as sensitive as they was. I have even gotten to the point of not minding to floss.

Charlie and David both will brush and floss as well and do not gripe when asked to. Sometimes after a meal I see them doing these things without being reminded which is a huge plus for all of us. Before the Listerine 21 Day Challenge they would never even  look at some floss much less use it.

We still need to do our “Swish Swelfie” to put on Facebook and we will. Its just been a little crazy here lately and getting it done did not get done this week. I think we will work on them this weekend.

If you have not done one but would like to Please go and add it to there page here  and come back here and let me know you did it so my family can check yours out.

Something Charlie and I have been doing when we brush is go over his site words or we count to 100 as he is needing to learn both for school and by doing this I know we do not cut our brushing time short plus we are able to get in two things at once. So when we walk out of the restroom we just have to grab the back pack and head out the door.

What can you and your family do when brushing your teeth to save time?

My step daughter Leslie used to brush her teeth in the shower. This is not something I would do but I can see why she did it. She says it saved her time. But still not my cup of tea. But if it works for her it might work for you as well. I can tell you this I can see Charlie doing it.

Now I would like to invite you to check out Listerine on both Facebook and Twitter and for you to use the hashtag #Listerine as you can follow our challenges on there. As well as add your own thoughts.
