ICE! featuring Santa Claus Has Come To Town!

I have been following Ice! a event which takes place at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas  every year during Christmas. Only each year there has been something that has kept our family from being able to attend Ice!
So with me wanting to take Charlie to the event I shared it on the blog. Then on blind faith and believing in what I did I sent it to the Gaylord Texan.
Now, I wasn’t expecting anything from the Gaylord as I figured I wasn’t the type of blogger to catch there eye but because I believed in myself and what I had done I sent them the link to the post.
So as I was working a email arrived and invited my family out to Ice! so I would like to let you know I was given 4 complimentary tickets to attend Ice! As well as attend the Meet and Greet and to have free Hot Chocolate as well as a parking pass. But the thoughts in the review are all mine and my families.
So Monday morning David was off and I asked both Charlie and David if they would like to attend ice! with me and they couldn’t get dressed fast enough. So off we went to Gaylord Texan.
Now neither David or Charlie has ever been to the hotel but I had been in the past as I had attended a conference there and I must tell you it is the most beautiful hotel I have ever been in. Plus I had dinner there one time in the River Walk Cafe and I wish I had been able to take Charlie and David yesterday but I wasn’t able to. But that doesn’t mean we will not return and visit the restaurant in the future as there is also a Water Park there Charlie and I would like to visit.
Now, Ice! will be in town until January 1st and I would like to invite you out to see Santa Claus Is Comin TO Town and as I am sure your family would love it just as much as mine did.
SO as Charlie and I walked into the Hotel to get the tickets I had taken the directions with me on where we would pick the tickets up and we didn’t have any trouble at all finding the pace we needed to be. Once we walked in the entire staff went above and beyond the call of duty to help us. But as I looked around the office it was so cozy I wanted to spend the day in there.
But Charlie wanted to get on our way so out the door we went and we started walking towards Ice and all I can say is I wanted to stop every couple feet to look at something as there was so much to see from the Bridge or lights to the Christmas Trees and all the banners telling us what was happening. Plus I saw the River and I just wanted to walk around it and look at all the deocrations but Charlie had ants in his pants and couldn’t wait.
So onward we marched towards Ice! As we got closer and closer we could smell something that smelled so good it stopped us in our tracks. It was the Cinnamon Nuts Charlie and I love. So once we was done in Ice David picked up a bag for us and if we hadn’t had Hot Chocolate I would have gotten David to purchase us a Snow Cone from Kona Ice as they was there as well.
Then David and I continued on our way to Ice! So we walked up to a lady and she was kind enough to tell us where we was going. Once we walked into the room where Ice! was playing we watched a Film about Ice! and the next time we watch Ice! I will make sure and take a notebook for Charlie to take notes as he can write a report out for school.
So we went on down the hall to the Fast Pass hall as we had these included in our tickets. The two gentlemen that was there to help us was so kind and very knowledgeable and helped us into our Parkas as it is so cold inside Ice! that you have to have a jacket on. As for me I could have worn my own hoodie and there jacket and still been cold.
So for those of you who plan on attending Ice! that might not have been in the past I would suggest you take some gloves as your hands get so cold that they begin to hurt. So I thought I was going to have to take Charlie out. But we was able to get all the way through Ice! Which I was so happy to be able to do as I didn’t want to miss anything about it.
So as we walked through Ice! we was able to read the story of Santa Claus Is Comin To Town and Charlie asked me if we could get the book which is awesome as it means Charlie is interested in reading.
Once we got to the middle of Ice! there was a huge slide which Charlie went down and he loved it. The only thing he didn’t like about it was his pants ended up wet. But if we had let Charlie he would have stayed there all day going up and down the slide.

Then we went through to the Toy Story area and on out and when we walked towards the end of Ice! we saw a display made out of Ice! Which stopped my in my tracks as there was a Angel as well as a Long Horn and also a Elephant which I wanted to take home with me.

Once we was finished walking through the Ice! display Charlie and I went to the Meet and Greet where we was able to meet Topper the Penguin as well as watch the kids laying on the Snow Tubes. While we was standing there a family blessed us with a free ticket so Charlie was able to do the Snow Tubing and he loved it a lot.

Then off we went to redeem our ticket for our free Hot Chocolate and to look at the picture they had taken of us. I wish I had been able to purchase the ticket but we hadn’t brought extra money so this year we left the picture there. But if we go next year I will make a point to bring money with us so I can shop in the Gift Store as well as purchase our pictures.

Once we finished Ice! we decided to walk through Gaylord Texan and look around and I was amazed at all the Gift Stores as well as the restaurants that are inside the Gaylord Texan. Charlie couldn’t get over the rug and wanted to know if he could have one like it for his room.

Soo all in all our trip to Gaylord Texan Ice!was a huge success and once again my family was Blessed through the Lord and the Gaylord Hotel and the presentation of Ice! So I would like to thank the Gaylord Hotel for there kindness as they made one little boy very happy.
