Dog Abuse!!!

Here is what the Puppy looked like.

Last night Charlie asked to play outside as we had some new children move in and he wanted to get to know them. So I said that was fine. I am so glad I sit outside with him and do not go back in like some parents.

As when we was outside a man was working on his truck and his puppy walked up and I am not sure if he got inside the truck the man was cleaning or what as I did not see it. But Charlie says he threw the dog from the truck. I did see him hit the ground. Then the man waited and the puppy walked back up and the man started to hit him and he kicked him again.

He saw all of us watching and took the dog inside and I Pray he did not continue to abuse him. Before he took him in I saw him hit him in the head as well as all the children outside.

Charlie was so mad he picked a rock up to go and throw at the man. I wanted to call the police but  I did not have a phone to use. Since I saw a couple guys see what happened I was hopping they would go up and say something and take the dog but they did not.

I would have but Charlie would have wanted to go with me and I was afraid of what the man might do to Charlie and I if I did say something. But today I am going to go down to the Dog Pound and let them know and see if they can do something. As no dog should be abused ever.

After this happened Charlie had nightmares all night and I could not even tell David about it without crying. David is so mad he wanted to march up there this morning and kick the guys behind which I would like  but that is not the lesson I want to teach Charlie.

Neither is doing nothing but with us being by ourselves at night as David works I did not want to make the guy mad and he do something to Charlie as Charlie rides his bike and scooter by this mans house.

So Please tell me what you would have done. So I know what to do next time.

Hindsight is 20 20 but I wish I had grabbed my camera and snapped some pictures. But I think it was in the car and I would not have wanted to leave Charlie outside while I ran in and got it.

Because by the time I got back inside Charlie would have been up there yelling and hitting the man.
