I would like to share a new book I received that will help parents struggling with education. Quick Wins!: Using Behavior Science to Accelerate and Sustain School Improvement by Dr Paul Gavoni (Author), Anika Costa (Author). I received a copy in exchange for this review.

Check out the Press Release here:

As a parent who has worked both in public schools, days cares and as a Homeschool Teacher I’ve seen negativity in all of these schools and a lot of time it comes from the principal and vice-principal who feels overwhelmed and are rude and mean to there staff which can trickle down to the students.

As a homeschool teacher even I get frustrated and yell and holler and say things I shouldn’t not only to Charlie but David who is the principal of our school. Through reading Quick Wins!: Using Behavior Science to Accelerate and Sustain School Improvement I saw myself in some of the things happening in the book between David and I.

Now, I have positive ways to deal with things when they get to be to much in our homeschool and that I can provide to the teachers I know showing them quick ways to improve school behavior. Quick Wins! includes check lists and other resources that make it incredibly easy to explain to administrators, but also to implement not only in schools but our personal lives as well.

If you are looking for resources on how to improve behavior in a typical school setting Quick Wins!: is necessary because it teaches us to use positive reinforcement to increase staff productivity. Which I can even use in my business and I bet you could as well.

Quick Wins!: chapters are filled with actionable strategies and real-life examples, making the things we learn from the book easy for me to share with my family. Allowing us to use the step-by-step guidance provided helped me create a positive work environment where my family felt appreciated for their efforts.

Charlie and David are more approachable, and they are more understanding, and empathetic, when I get frustrated or say I can’t do something they jump in to help which resulting in improved communication and a stronger sense of family which we needed not only in our school but our personal lives.
