Three Paws New Family

I’m excited to let you know I am reviewing a new children’s book called Three Paws New Family written by Karen Struck who sent me a copy in exchange for this review. The thoughts in the review are mine and mine alone.

Karen Struck debut children’s book, Three Paws is a book I would like to read to Lily and Jason. As well as share Three Paws New Family with Charlie and use Three Paws New Family in our homeschooling class.

There is so many lessons Charlie and I can learn through Three Paws New Family and use in our Homeschooling Class. From Spelling to Art class this new novel covers it all.

While teaching lessons throughout the book and introducing us to different Animals we haven’t had the chance to study. Being three books will give us a month of lessons.

Through gorgeous illustrations and a fun new cast of characters, Struck takes readers right back to the heart of the Alaskan wilderness for another adventure with Boots, her adorable three-pawed Grizzly bear and his new buddies.

In Three Paws’ New Family, Boots befriends a black bear named Sockeye and her Mexican brother, Pepe, the iguana. Sockeye has lost her mother and is not old enough to live on her own.

Her Prayers are answered when she meets little Pepe, who escaped his human family’s home in Ketchikan to explore the beautiful Alaskan wilderness but lost his way back home.

A lonely bear cub and a lost iguana become a “family” relying on each other for companionship, friendship, and survival skills. Through this novel we can learn that no, matter how different people are we can all get together if we try.

“Every family looks different, and family can come in many different forms,” says Struck. “What is most important is knowing who will be there for you when you need them most – that is what true family is!”

Which Charlie has been learning this week because one of his best friends has been being ugly and Charlie is having to distance himself and make new friends. Seeing my son hurting is the hardest thing but I can’t fight his battles for him he has to do it for himself.

Being stuck inside these days, Karen has put together a fun, uplifting and inspirational Spotify playlist showing us how we can dance with children after reading Three Paws’ New Family.

Through this novel we will learn how to start meaningful conversations about family, friendship, differences and how to love others well. Playlist available HERE.
