I would like to share a book you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 2025: Dear John written by Nicholas Sparks (Author), Holter Graham (Narrator), and Hachette Audio (Publisher). I picked this novel up at Ollies the other day when shopping with David for decorations for our home.
Life is funny a lot of times isn’t it and sometimes life doesn’t make sense. Like with the Author Nicholas Sparks. I haven’t read many books by Nicholas Sparks but I’ve fallen in love with a lot of his movies including The Longest Ride one of my all time favorite movies and so is Dear John which I’ve watched over and over. Have you read the book or watched the movie?
Dear John was fun to share with David who has watched Dear John in the past with me. I can’t wait to share my copy of Dear John with my friend Lisa Marie Bird. I want to see if she has read the book or watched the movie.
Before you ask what about my sister Debbie Ice and my best friend Debbie Finney Sutton they’ve watched the movie but neither of them have read Dear John which I plan on sharing with them this week. Would you want to join a Book Club? If so we can start with Dear John and also host a #movienight and watch Dear John the movie.
About: Dear John
An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life – until he meets Savannah, the girl of his dreams. Their mutual attraction quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah waiting for John to finish his tour of duty, and John wanting to settle down with the woman who has captured his heart.
But 9/11 changes everything. John feels it is his duty to re-enlist. And sadly, the long separation finds Savannah falling in love with someone else. “Dear John,” the letter read, and with those two words, a heart was broken and two lives were changed forever. Returning home, John must come to grips with the fact that Savannah, now married, is still his true love – and face the hardest decision of his life.
