A Cupcake to Die For Camilla Clove

Adult Book Recomendations

I wanted to share a new book with you from Book Funnel I received for free. Thew new book is called A Cupcake to Die For: is A Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery. The book is written by a new Author to me Camilla Clove (Author) whom I hadn’t heard of until I found the book online on bookfunnel.

There were several reasons I wanted to read A Cupcake to Die For first and foremost was because of the Dog on the cover of the book. Isn’t he just the cutest Dog ever? Then there was the Author which would allow me to check out a new Author’s style of writing.

Also, the story is a Mystery which I watch a lot of on TV and read as a child but had gotten out of the habit of reading but wanted to get back into mysteries and A Cupcake to Die For is about a Cupcake what more do I need to say other than its a series and will be fun to read on our #RoadTrips.

As I begin to read A Cupcake to Die For I found myself wishing I could visit the Seaside Town and see the Dog in person. I know Pheobie and Bear would have liked to be friends with this Dog. The main character is a marketing exec like I was which was fun to find out.

She is going to start an inherited Catering Business which would be fun. But someone dies from one of her aunt’s Cupcakes. In the story we meet Detective Ben who I wouldn’t mind meeting in real-life. How about you?

In the story you will find mystery, suspense, drama and even gossip which is always fun. Then there is a family secret worth killing for but to find out what the secret is you will need to read A Cupcake to Die For.

About:

A poisoned cupcake. A seaside town full of secrets. And a dog with a nose for trouble.

Jasmine Nazari, a burned-out marketing exec, stops in Pelican Bay hoping for rest before launching her inherited catering business. But when a loathed land developer drops dead after sampling her aunt’s cupcakes at the town bake sale, suspicion falls squarely on Mira—and her beloved bakery.

To clear her aunt’s name, Jasmine dives into the investigation armed with sharp instincts, marketing savvy, and Mango—a scruffy mutt with a knack for finding clues. She reluctantly teams up with Detective Ben Holden, a charmingly naive cop just starting to take her seriously.

Between rival bakers, gossipy café owners, and threatening notes, Jasmine uncovers decades-old betrayals and a family secret worth killing for. Suspects include Dottie Lane, a hotheaded baker bitter over lease disputes, and Mrs. Donnelly, a sharp-tongued former landowner coerced into selling.

With Mira’s bakery on the brink and danger closing in, Jasmine must unmask the killer—before she’s next.
