I thought I would share a unique #Holiday with you. On, September 13th it’s National Iguana Awareness Day and I wanted to share Homeschool Ideas & Resources you can use in your classroom.
Whether you’re celebrating on September 8 or September 13 (because when you look online some sources vary!), National Iguana Awareness Day is a fun opportunity to dive into the world of these fascinating reptiles.
In our Home for a #Homeschool Field Trip when Charlie was going to school, we visited the Zoo to see Iguana’s up close and also a Pet Store close to us. We headed over to Charlie’s grandmother’s home so he would be able to hold her Iguana and take care of her for a week. Including feeding and cleaning the cage and taking the Iguana outside for Air and exercise.
For a fun snack you can make Cookies or Sandwiches in the shape of Iguana’s using these Cookie Cutters. Then you can check out this homeschool lesson plan that blends science, reading, and creativity into a day’s lessons allowing the Teacher some much-needed free time.
