October 24 National Bologna Day #NationalBolognaDay & October 24 National Food Day #FoodDay

Food Holidays

I must say again life is funny. I was looking up #Holiday I’d missed sharing and found out October 24 National Bologna Day #NationalBolognaDay & October 24 National Food Day #FoodDay. Which means these Holidays go hand in hand and would be a fun day for David and I to celebrate.

Would you like to join us for foods we can celebrate along with an Oscar Myer Bologna Sandwich with Kraft Mayo. We can have the Bologna right out of the fridge, or I can fry the Bologna for us. I know a lot of people like Tomatoes with their Bologna Sandwiches. Would you want a Tomato or not which David, and I will pass on.

Would you please help me wish a Happy Belated National Bologna Day! which falls on October 24 a fun filled celebration. Remember National Bologna Day is the day to celebrate one of America’s most iconic lunch meats — bologna! Whether you love it fried, stacked in a sandwich, or rolled up as a snack, this day honors the versatile and nostalgic deli staple. Do you remember the Oscar Myer jingle and commercial that was around when we were kids?

Here are a few fun ways people celebrate #NationalBolognaDay:

  • Make a classic bologna sandwich with white bread and yellow mustard
  • Fry up slices of Bologna for a crispy twist
  • Try gourmet versions of Bologna with artisan bread, cheese, and toppings
  • Share your creations on social media with the hashtag #NationalBolognaDay

Here is a quirky fact you can share with your friends and family. Bologna is named after the Italian City of Bologna, but the American version is more closely related to mortadella — just without the fancy fat chunks.

If you’re feeling inspired, I can help you come up with a recipe, a social media post, or even a bologna-themed party idea! Just leave me a comment with what you’re looking for I will get to work on it.
