Seals was one of Suzzane’s favorite animals and her favorite movie was Andre the Seal which David, Charlie and I also love. I wish Suzzie was here to read Be A Hero with Skipper the Seal but she isn’t. David and Charlie read the story with me, and they loved the story a lot.

My favorite part of the book was on the book jacket where Skipper says: Be a hero in all that you do.” Which we all need to do every day. The book is full of animals my family feel in love with as well as the President.

Skipper has finished his training and is waiting on his first mission. One night his instructor calls Skpper and tells him “The White House” needs him. The President tells Skipper he needs him to find the greatest heros of all: one who inspire and will never mislead and our Country can turn to in need.

On his ay home Skipper see’s a friend that is small in size but is unwilling to bend even against someone bigger he was willing to fight. Courageous the Cat says he knows more animals they can use in Skipper’s mission.

They come upon a building on fire they recruit Giving Gorella who takes them to find more team members. Then end up at the hosipital and see Doctors working. They they recruit Caring Cow my mom would have liked.

Next is the Science lab and the Hopeful Hare. Then they go to the Homeless Shelter and meet The Persevering Penguin I would have liked to have as a friend and so would Suzzane if she was here. next was the White House and Honest Owl David liked.

Charlie liked the Dutiful Duck at the schoolhouse although he said he would pass on school. LOL Off to the Skating Rink we go where they meet Humble House. Where not done yet. Off to the Theater we go. We meet Funny Fox.

If you want to know what he was funny you will have to read Be a Hero with Skipper the Seal. But they were missing someone. It was Forgiving Frog who forgave Skipper and his team. On, no a ship is sinking and Skipper’s team is put to work.

They saved all the passengers and no, one lost there grip. Thank the LORD. Skipper says he has found his heros and they were everywhere doing there jobs The President was plesed and gave everyone a medal. Operation Hero Code: a success on all levals. Remember like Skipper the seal teaches us you don’t have to go far to find those you admire.

A New York Times bestseller! In this inspiring children’s adaptation of the New York Times bestselling book The Hero Code: Lessons Learned from Lives Well Lived, Admiral William H. McRaven and daughter Kelly Marie McRaven show young readers what it means to be truly heroic.

When the president of the United States tasks Skipper the SEAL with assembling a team of heroes, Skipper isn’t sure where to start. But as he meets other animals who give of their time and talents every day—from the Courageous Cat who stands up for others, to the Dutiful Duck who never leaves a student behind, to the Funny Fox who creates joy wherever he goes—Skipper realizes that heroes don’t have to be big and strong. There are heroes all around us!
