David, Charlie and I are here 💐 Introducing Cozy Story Nights: A New Way to Turn Ordinary Evenings into Something You Actually Look Forward To. If your home is like mine life has a way of getting busy fast. Between work, family, errands, appointments, and everything else that never seems to slow down, it can feel like there’s no space left for anything that’s just for you.
That’s why I started something simple called Cozy Story Nights. It’s not a program. It’s not complicated. And it’s definitely not another thing you have to “keep up with.” It’s just a flexible way to turn books, movies, and quiet evenings into something shared, comforting, and enjoyable again. I hope you will join us.
Sometimes it looks like me and my sister watching our favorite movies or tv shows from our own beds, connected through Zoom, checking in during breaks, reminding each other to drink water, and laughing like we’re in the same room even when we’re not. Or reading a book together.
Other times it becomes a girls’ night where friends jump in, snacks are involved, and everyone brings their own version of “cozy.” The fun part is we can even walk through our homes together and get our steps in without leaving the house.
And sometimes it turns into something slower and quieter — a blanket, and a night where you finally let yourself enjoy something without rushing through it. Just grab your favorite beverage and come and share what you want to do this week.
There is no perfect way to do it. That’s the point.
Some nights might include:
– watching a show together on Netflix
– reading the same book or story theme
– simple snack boards or Dollar Tree setups
– or even couples’ nights where your husband ends up more into it than expected -always ending with steps and laughter
One of the early inspirations for this series comes from the world of Bridgerton and the book The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband: A Bridgerton Prequel by Julia Quinn (Author). Soft romance, slow moments, and that feeling of stepping out of real life for just a little while.
But this series isn’t just about one show or one book. It’s about giving yourself permission to enjoy your evenings again in a way that actually fits your real life. Over the next few posts, I’ll show you how to build your own Cozy Story Night — for yourself, your friends, your family, homeschool-style learning nights, or even date nights at home.
Because you don’t need more pressure in your week. You just need something to look forward to again.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
