More times than not for my family City Trends on Denton Highway is one of those places I don’t always plan to go into, but I often end up inside the store to walk and I find than I expected once I’m inside. It’s not just a department store — it’s a mix of affordable clothing, household items, shoes, accessories, and seasonal surprises that make it a practical stop for everyday needs.
More times than not there is even Holiday decorations I find I want to bring home because they are so affordable and different than other items we’ve found when shopping. I’ve even found jewelry for Charlie featuring his nickname King and a hat as well.
On our recent visit, we went in looking for something simple like socks, and ended up finding a variety of items that stood out in different ways. There were everyday basics like men’s and women’s socks, but also more playful and unexpected finds such as themed Crocs and novelty-style items that add personality without a high price tag.
One of the things that stood out during this trip was how City Trends often carries items that feel both functional and expressive at the same time. For example, affordable socks with faith-based messages, or fun accessories that would normally be priced much higher elsewhere, but are available at a budget-friendly cost here.
It’s also one of those stores where you can easily pick up practical household items while also stumbling across something that feels more personal or gift-worthy. That combination makes it useful not just for shopping needs, but also for quick gift ideas, seasonal shopping, or filling in gaps at home without overspending.
For anyone in the Denton Highway area looking for a budget-friendly store that goes beyond just clothing racks, City Trends is one of those places worth stepping into when you pass by. You never quite know what you’ll walk out with, but it usually ends up being more useful than expected. This is also the perfect store to shop at for Back to School clothes because they have a Law A Way and fun items for Father’s Day including small tool kits that will fit in the glove compartment of the car.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
