TGIF Series Hub: The Shows That Raised Us

TGIF Series Hub: The Shows That Raised Us

Entertainment Retro Family Entertainment Through the Generations TV & Retro Cartoons

I sure miss when Suzzane and my nephew were little and we all would wait for Friday evening to watch TGIF together. Since Charlie isn’t familiar with some of the shows that aired on TGIF I wanted to share them with Charlie and Mikalyia. So I’ve created a new series built around TGIF Series Hub: The Shows That Raised Us that you can share with your friends and family as well.

Charlie says it’s hard to believe there was a time when Friday nights didn’t belong to streaming menus or endless scrolling. They belonged to TGIF. As Charlie likes to say this must have been when the dinosaurs ruled the Earth. LOL eye roll not…

If your on the downhill of 60 like David and I then you knew the rhythm without even thinking about it. The week would wind down, the homework would be half-finished, snacks would somehow appear in the kitchen, and the TV would become the center of the house.

Back then it wasn’t just about the shows. It was about the feeling of being together without trying too hard. The laugh tracks in the background, familiar characters walking into living rooms like Foniz from Happy Days that felt a little like your own family, and commercials you still remember even when you wish you didn’t.

This series is a look back at those nights.

The shows we grew up with.
The family moments wrapped around them.
And the commercials that somehow stuck in our heads longer than they should have.

Because if you were there, you already know. And if you weren’t… this is what you missed it.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
