As a later-in-life mom in my 60s, with a 19-year-old son, I’ve never really taken care of my skin the way a lot of women eventually learn to do over time. Throughout my life I’ve hardly ever worn makeup. I’ve never had a skincare routine. Not even a simple one. For most of my life, skincare was just not something I thought about in any consistent way, and I never really felt like I was missing anything.

But that changes when you get older and start noticing your reflection in a different way. The dark circles under my eyes are more permanent now than they used to be. Fine lines and wrinkles aren’t something I “see sometimes,” they’re just part of my face.

My skin looks more tired than it once did, and there came a point where I stopped brushing that off and started thinking maybe I should finally do something small and realistic about it. Not something extreme. Not something complicated. Just something.

Because I’m not trying to become someone new. I’m not trying to reverse time or chase a version of myself that doesn’t exist anymore. I’m just trying to take better care of the skin I’m in right now. And that’s how I ended up starting with something very simple: LIVAURA Retinol Makeup Remover Wipes.

What I needed more than anything wasn’t a long skincare routine or shelves full of products I would forget to use. I needed something I could actually stick with. Something that didn’t feel like a project at the end of the day. Something would be quick and easy and could do done on the go.

I don’t wear makeup, so I don’t need anything complicated for removal. I just needed a way to clean my face properly, especially at night, in a way that felt easy enough that I wouldn’t talk myself out of it.LIVAURA Retinol Makeup Remover Wipes became that starting point for me.

I like how the retinol wipes are quick, straightforward, and the wipes don’t require me to think through steps or orders or anything like that. On tired evenings, that matters more than anything else. I just take one out of the package and wipe my face off and I’m done.

I can honestly say that consistency has always been my struggle with anything related to self-care. If something feels too involved, I simply won’t keep doing it. That’s just real life for me. And at this stage, I’m not interested in forcing myself into routines I know I won’t maintain.

So I started thinking differently. Instead of asking, “What is the perfect skincare routine?” I started asking, “What is something I will actually do?” That question is what made LIVAURA Retinol Makeup Remover Wipes feel possible and something I could do.

Alongside the cleansing towelettes, I also started learning more about retinol. It was one of those skincare words I had heard for years but never really understood in a practical way. Retinol is a form of vitamin A that is often used in skincare to help support the skin over time.

From what I’ve learned, retinol is commonly used for fine lines, uneven texture, and skin that looks tired or dull. What stood out to me most is that it is not an overnight product. It is something that works gradually with consistent use. That part actually made sense to me more than anything else in skincare ever has.

Because nothing in my life changes overnight anymore. Most things I’m working on now improve slowly, in small steps, over time. And that feels more realistic than expecting quick fixes. Which is another reason decided to try LIVAURA Retinol Makeup Remover Wipes.

I also had to be honest with myself about expectations. I don’t believe retinol is going to erase my dark circles. I don’t believe it’s going to smooth every wrinkle or change my appearance in a dramatic way. I think those expectations would only lead to disappointment.

But I do believe in small improvement over time. I believe in doing something instead of doing nothing. And I believe in taking better care of myself in ways I never really prioritized before. That is what this is about for me. Not perfection. Not transformation. Just care.

What surprised me most about starting this is how much simpler it feels than I expected. I always thought skincare had to be complicated in order to be effective. But I’m learning that the opposite might be more true for someone like me. Which is a Godsend.

Simple is what lasts. Simple is what I will actually do at the end of a long day. Simple is what fits into a life that is already full. And that’s really the point of this entire review. This isn’t a beauty routine built around perfection or trends. It’s a very ordinary attempt to start taking care of myself in a way that feels realistic at this stage of life.

Some nights I am tired. Some nights I just want to sit down and not think about anything else I need to do. But even then, I’ve been trying to take a few minutes to clean my face and apply something that feels like I’m finally paying attention to myself again.

It’s a small thing, but it matters more than I expected it to. I’m not doing this because I think I need to fix myself. I’m doing it because I think I deserve to care for myself, even if I’m starting late and even if I’m still figuring it out as I go.

And for me, that feels like a better place to begin than any complicated routine I would never stick with. This is why LIVAURA Retinol Makeup Remover Wipes has quickly become my new go to face cleaner for so many reasons and its why I’m sharing it with my friends and family,

Thank you,
