The other day Charlie was getting ready for work and he let me know he needed socks. While David and I were out we stopped by City Trends again because socks are cheaper here than anywhere else. I always like walking around the store because I usually I find a few things that make me want to spend more than I should.
One of my favorite finds this week was a Blessed water bottle. The water bottle was white and had Blessed on it with pretty purple Flowers. I also spotted a water bottle in red that said bougie. This cup reminded me of Bear. I keep telling David that I’m turning her into a bougie dog, and this cup just seemed perfect.
Another cup featured the words Faith Over Fear, which made me think of the Crensley family from the TV show about Todd Crinsley and his daughter who has a clothing line with this saying. . It’s always fun when little things remind us of people and shows we enjoy.
Since socks are always cheap, I picked up a six-pack for just $2.95. The designs reminded me of the 1970s and all those peace-and-love vibes I adore. There were white socks with neon green flowers and a dark green center, striped socks in pink and neon green, solid pink socks, black socks, and my favorite pair featuring a beautiful psychedelic butterfly with the word Love.
I’ve always loved the colors and style of the 70s. One day, I’d love to have a little Volkswagen Bug or van decorated with peace signs and flowers. I can already picture David and Charlie tooling around town with me enjoying all those groovy vibes.
Besides clothing, City Trends also carries home décor, snacks, and lots of fun items throughout the store. With back-to-school season right around the corner, they have clothes for children of all ages at affordable prices. They even offer layaway, which can help families spread out the cost of school shopping. This is why you will find City Trends inside our Back to School Shopping Guide.
If you’re in the Haltom City area, you’ll find City Trends on Denton Highway in the shopping center with Aldi. It’s worth stopping in because you never know what treasures you’ll discover. Plus there is a cute little Cafe for lunch and several other stores you may want to visit.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
