Grace Buy Grace Room By Room: Creating a Cozy Coffee Nook with My Galanz Icebox

The Mommies Reviews

Looking back on my life and when we lived in our Mobile Home to know I just shake my head. Because being in the Mobile Home kids came out night and day and a Coffee Nook/ Snack Nook would have been a Godsend and we would have had more than enough room for it and I never thought of it.

Then we move into this Town Home and we don’t have enough space for anything and kids aren’t in and out here like they were in the Mobile Home but I was able to create a Coffee nook/ Snack Nook thanks to all the post I saw on Facebook and Pinterest and no, my area will never be Pinterest worthy but its perfect for my family and to me that is all that matters.

Remember sometimes the smallest additions to a home can make the biggest difference. When I was creating my coffee nook and snack nook ie breakfast bar, I never imagined that one piece would become such an important part of our daily routine. My Galanz Icebox, gifted to me by Lisa Marie Bird, has truly become a blessing in our home.

For months it sat downstairs by the front door because it needed to be wiped down and no, one wanted to take the time to do. Then one day I mentioned to Bradley I wanted to move the Ice Box upstairs. He helped me and once it was up here we cleaned and stocked it together. Once again I am thankful for my son from another mother.

The first thing that caught my attention one the Icebox was cleaned up was the beautiful black finish. It is a gorgeous, classic color that fits perfectly into our space. The icebox is the perfect size for our family and gives us the extra storage we needed without taking up too much room.

When you open the door, you immediately see how much this little icebox can actually hold. It has a small freezer compartment that was large enough to hold an ice tray. I was so excited that I was able to make ice in it because for me Ice is love. I can’t wait to start using it regularly for our coffee nook and breakfast area.

The refrigerator section has three shelves inside and can even hold a gallon of milk. That impressed me because this compact icebox offers much more storage than I expected. Charlie can’t wait to see if his Pizza will fit inside the Ice Box although I have no, clue what he will cook that Pizza in because it will not fit into my microwave but knowing Charlie he will figure out how to cook it.

The door storage is designed so well. It has a shelf for snacks and smaller items, plus little Soda Pop nooks where you can line up your sodas and keep them organized. I’ve also stored juices and Coffee in these spaces. There is also another small square area for snacks or other items, and the bottom shelf is the perfect size for holding bottled water.

Right now, this little icebox is already being put to work in our home. Bradley has a gallon of milk stored inside, we have sodas waiting for review, bottled water ready to grab, and our Great Value French Vanilla Creamer fits perfectly in the back. It also has room for Charlie’s donuts, my Dip, and still leaves space for a few more things.

Of course, like any refrigerator, it needs organizing from time to time. Life happens, and things get moved around. But the fact that this small icebox can hold so much for our family has truly amazed me. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out these Ice Boxes for your family you should because they are a lifesaver.

I honestly cannot thank Lisa Marie Bird enough for this refrigerator. It has been a Godsend and has helped turn our hallway area into a cozy, functional coffee nook, snack nook and breakfast space that we can enjoy every day. instead of a drop space that turns our home into a hoarder home.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
