My bold action was surviving my daughter death

Ultimate Blog Challenge

My bold action was surviving my daughter death. I know that sounds harsh but it was. Because as a parent we shouldn’t have to face the death of our children. As parents should outlive there children. But I wasn’t lucky enough to outlive Suzzane. And I never dreamed that Thanksgiving weekend that I would receive a call that there was a accident.

But I did and I was asked to get to the spot where the accident took place. And I made a call to my sister who came and got me and took me to the accident. And all I remember is asking Amanda  who had called me how bad it was. And her answer that is was bad.

So we get to the hospital and the doctors tell us all the things wrong with Suzzane. And then leave to let us digest it. And later they come back and tell us she is Brain Dead. And we need to make a decision of what to do. And I do I ask to take her off the machines.

So that day I had to decide to let her go or to let her save other people by donating her organs. And after talking to my family we all decided that she would want to donate her organs and so we tell the doctors that they can take her organs. And she saves 70 people.

But then the next year it is all I can do to get up each day and put on foot in front of the other. But somehow I do. And my marriage ends. My dad survives a stroke. I end up homeless.  And also jobless. With no car.

But do I give up no, I find a wonderful man who helps me through all the bad things. And exactly 2 years later I am remarried and Pregnant with my son. And during the year I am pregnant I realize I am here for a reason and I need to figure out what to do with my life.

And as I sit in front of my computer blogging and searching online I find the answer as I come upon blog after blog. And I know it is a answer from God. As I found Karren Haller that day and I go out on  a limb and start a blog called Mommies Point of View to help empower other parents.

And here I am 8 years later still running a blog although it is now called The Mommies Reviews. And a mom of a little boy who is 8 and we are Homeschooling him. So even though I lost my daughter God has continued to open doors for me and I know as long as I do not give up on myself God won’t either.

So today is Day 2 of the Ultimate Blog challenge and they give us things to write about or we can write about anything we want. And today’s suggestion was to write about and todays suggestion was “What have you done in your life that you feel is / was bold?”.

And for me that was becoming a mom and letting Jesus take my daughter home. And then opening up my heart a second time and becoming a wife and mother a 2nd time. And starting a blog to share with others what I had been through.

And now I would like to ask you What have you done in your life that you feel is / was bold? And has there been more than one thing that makes you feel that way? And have you shared it with anyone? And if not why not?
