I would like to share a new event happening in Fort Worth Curtis Needs A Ride. A  Award-Winning Improv Comedy Troupe Announces it’s Valentine’s Day Show. I would like to let you know tickets for the show are only $15. Before I share the details with you I would like to let you know I haven’t ever been to a Comedy Show and being close to Valentines I would be able to go on a date with David without Charlie. Which we never ever have the chance to do.

FORT WORTH, Texas – January 17, 2019 – Award-winning improv comedy troupe Curtis Needs a Ride (CNAR) today announced a Valentine’s Day show benefitting Fort Worth nonprofit Justin’s Place.

The Swipe Right Comedy Show will be full of Tinder and dating humor and aims to be not only a great date night but also a fun night out for friends.

The show will be held at The Ridglea Room in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday, February 19, 2019 at 8:00 pm. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15. There will be a new food truck South of the Line debuting its fried hot chicken menu outside the theatre. Food is allowed inside the theatre during the show.

What the HECK is South of the Line!???

South of the Line Chicken is the genius of Will Van Wagner and William Jacobs. Well, maybe “genius” wasn’t the best word to use, but we can get over it if you can. South of the Line is a food truck that is unlike anything else in town, and we hope you’re as excited as we are! So, what the HECK is South of the Line???

Imagine if Nashville Hot Chicken and Buffalo Wings got married in Fort Worth, Texas. This is that marriage. Right here. With heavy influences of all three places, we have been able to create a fried chicken that is unlike anything you’ve ever had! The crunchiness you love? Got it. The juiciness you need? Oh buddy, it’s like no other. A unique flavor of savory and heat? Trust us, we’ll leave your mouth with a smolder that will make you get back in line!

How does this even happen? Great question. I went to Nashville a number of years ago, tried Nashville Style Hot Chicken. And loved it. I wondered why there was nothing like it in Fort Worth. For the last 3 years, I had grown tired of craving it and disappointed in everyone else’s crack at it (I’m looking at you KFC. That was gross. But honestly, what was I realistically expecting, right?).

When you’re a single guy out of college there are things you need to learn if you want to survive. I’m not talking about networking or how to dress yourself (VERY IMPORTANT THOUGH), I’m talking about literal survival.

I don’t need to tell any of you that you can only eat ramen and fast food for so long. So, I bought a wooden spoon, a cast iron frying pan, and a pot. Picture Swedish Chef and Beaker rolled into one.

Yeah, that was an interesting time period for me. But before I knew it, I was the head chef in my own kitchen . . . located right next to my living room! I would find a recipe I liked and then I would try it out.

The next time I made the dish, I would tweak this and add that. Having a love affair with hot sauce, I usually added a lot of that (*there are typically 8 to 10 different kinds of hot sauce in my house at all times. That kind of love affair).

Fast forward a few years and I’m in Nashville for a wedding standing in line to get my first order of Hot Chicken. Now picture a combination of Remy the Rat and Walter White as I try and recreate this incredible creation of two things I love: fried chicken and heat. Let that simmer a few years (see what I did there? cooking jargon!) and South of the Line is born!
