Day 3 of Ultimate Blogging Challenge

I’m always looking for ways to earn money which would allow me to remain at home with me as I was looking through the website, I thought you might be interested in learning how to make money as well.

I thought I would share the information Michelle Shaffer sent us to help us get started and as you look through the list, let me know which items you have done or will do.

Before I share the list with you, I would like to let you know this is Day 3 of Michelle Shaffer Ultimate Blogging Challenge. I am so happy you took the time to stop by my website. I would like to invite you to join us in the challenge as there is still time.

Look through the list come back and leave me a comment with the numbers that you have done and let us know how these items worked out for you. As well as which ones you would like to do in the future or which ones you would never do and why.

For me I, have done the following:

1, 2, 3, 9, 11, 12, 21, 24, 25, 26, 28

I have just started to do videos and it says I can charge for them which would be another way I can earn income.

  1. Write a review of products you’re an affiliate for (check clickbank.com or jvzoo.com for products that might be a good fit for your blog)

  3. Create a resources page where you link to affiliate products/services you recommend
  4. Offer a free ebook that includes affiliate links
  5. Create an e book that’s for sale directly on your blog (check out www.e-junkie.com for an easy sales option)

  8. Publish your own print book (check out createspace.com)
  9. Sell banner ads through an ad network
  10. Add Google AdSense to your blog

  14. On the “thanks for subscribing” page of your site, add an offer (could be an affiliate product or something of your own)
  15. Offer your time as “pick your brain” sessions – 30 minutes for $X – around whatever topic you blog about (everyone’s an expert at something!)

  19. Create a monthly membership
  20. Promote your existing business and attract clients
  21. Promote yourself as a speaker for paid gigs or gigs where you can sell from the stage
  22. Build an audience so you can land a book deal
  23. Offer your services (web design, blog setup, ghostwriting or ghost blogging, etc.)
  24. Get paid per post to write for other blogs (look at postjoint.com)
  25. Get paid per post for sponsored posts on your own blog
  26. Create a blog to sell or flip
  27. Offer paid reviews to companies who sell products/services your readers would be interested in
  28. Create premium content (available only for a subscription or fee to read)
  29. Create a podcast based on your blog and sell ad spots
  30. Host your vlog videos on YouTube and join their monetization program

These are only some of the ways you can profit with your blog!

Bonus tip: if you don’t have your own business yet and are looking for ideas of how to bring in an income from home with your blog, go to Fiverr and just browse to see what others are offering. While $5 at a time isn’t a big paycheck, Fiverr can be a great way to get started and generate leads on small services that turn into clients for bigger projects, it may also spark ideas for you that you haven’t thought of yet.

  1. Hey, this is a great post! I usually do number 12: Recommend products with an Amazon affiliate link. I try to link something from my post (a book, music, etc) and post the widget at the end of the post.
At the moment, my blog is not publish so I can make money, but you’ve got great ideas there!!! 🙂
