Dino-Fest At The Perot Museum Level Four

I did it I made it to Level 4 and I am so happy and excited both Charlie and I are here. There are many different Homeschool Resources we can use in our upcoming classes. I just wish I had brought our Science Lessons for the year. Along with our Art Notebooks and supplies as there was plenty of opportunities to draw pictures to decorate our classroom with.

I could have made notes for things I could teach Charlie although it is okay because this Exhibit will be open through January 6, 2019. Perot Museum can help us plan a field trip to bring  students to Ultimate Dinosaurs, as well as our TEKS-aligned general exhibits. We offer a free Educator’s Guide and other materials to bring Ultimate Dinosaurs into your classroom.

See what happens when we don’t research websites before attending a event or attraction? If I had done this I could have requested the Material and built a Lesson Plan/ Unit Study for Charlie and once we finished her we could have stopped by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in Grand Prairie and went back through there facility and gathered more information on Dinosaurs.

Meteorite Demonstration

Charlie and I love all thigs SPACE for many reasons including Cartoons like Superman. I would have liked to spend more time here in Meteorite Demonstration attraction. I plan on returning in the Future with Charlie once we get our Lesson Plan/ Unit Studies completed. When we do I plan on checking out the Theater and seeing if there is a movie that would fit in with this Lesson Plan.

David also says one we return he would like to come back as he enjoys Space and Meteorites and learning new and unusual facts as well as drawing the items he sees. Which will allow David to teach Charlie for a change. Inside this Hall you will be able to Gaze at natural beauty.

Inside the Hall is Earth’s original rock stars who glisten, glimmer, and glow. You will find both practical and beautiful aspects in the complex structures. Charlie does better watching videos to learn things through and in here you will find High-definition videos, digital puzzles, and touchable specimens which will lead us to Hands on Learning which works well for children who have ADHD/ Dyslexia.  Younger children will discover the astounding variety of colors, shapes, and hardness’s of minerals found across the globe.

New Paleo Lab

For myself personally I wanted to visit the New Paleo Lab although we didn’t make it. Because all I see online is information about the Diet so I wanted to see if they could make this new diet easier for me to understand allowing me to decide if it is the right diet for David and I. Because as of now I am so confused between Paleo and Keto that I don’t know which is the best diet and which one is right for David and me.

Dinosaur Teeth

It was only right that Charlie and I would check out Dinosaur Teeth last night as Charlie had a tooth which was hurting. I mentioned we needed to get both Charlie and David false teeth. Although after seeing the Dinosaur teeth they wouldn’t fit in either David or Charlie’s mouth. Although what was fun was hearing facts about Dinosaurs and their teeth Charlie learned in school and the attendant confirming what Charlie was telling me was correct.

Science On The Spot: What Is A Dinosaur

Charlie and I really loved visiting here and seeing Science On The Spot: Learning about what is a Dinosaur and we made a lot of mental notes to add to our Homeschool Lesson Plans/ Unit Studies and also Charlie can’t wait to share this information with his friends mom Kerry as she helps with the Science class in the school Charlie attends part time. What surprised me was how interested David became as well.

Science On The Spot: Fossils

Once we got to Science On The Spot: Fossils none of us wanted to leave the area as we all love Fossils and learning about them. Charlie and David had so much fun that I believe we could have spent the entire day here and none of us would have gotten tired or board. On the way home David even asked when we would be able to go back and spend more time in this area. Which let me know it was a huge success and a Lesson Plan/ Unit Study I need to put together because David can help Charlie with this class. Freeing me up.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
