Enchant Christmas Allows Us To Bless A Single Mom

Last night my family was invited out to Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. I was so excited because this would be the first time my step laughter and her family would be attending a event with us. Although God had other plans for our family because when I reached out to Leslie to remind her what time we would need to leave for Enchant the following happened.

Leslie let me know she would remind Toby. As the day went on I didn’t hear from Leslie. Then around 1:30 Leslie emailed me to let me know Toby wasn’t feeling like attending Enchant due to all the walking we would need to do. I was upset because Leslie was the reason I wanted to attend Enchant. Enchant would allow Leslie and her family to spend time with our family.

David came home and I let him know Leslie wasn’t going and I continued to work. David asked me what I wanted to do and I let David know I was going to talk to Tammy Aiden mom when I picked Charlie up from school. I wanted to see if Tammy and Aiden would like to come to Enchant with us because Tammy is a single mom. Tammy hasn’t ever been able to bring Aiden to events like Enchant. I thought Enchant would be a nice way for us all to spend time together.

Through out this month I have been missing my mom a lot and wishing she were here to attend events with us. When I found Tammy at school. Tammy let me know her mom was visiting but they would love coming to Enchant with my family once Tammy got off  work. I let Tammy know that would be fine.

Tammy let Charlie’s teacher I would be bringing Aiden home with us. As we were walking home I let Aiden know we were attending Enchant that evening. Charlie had so much fun explaining to Aiden what Enchant was and what they would see. It was so nice hearing Charlie laugh be excited about Enchant and Christmas.

I was excited to be able to bring the boys into Globe Life Park because none of us had been before. We walked up to the Capital One Room where we all had dinner. The food was so yummy. The boys were mesmerized just sitting in front of the window looking down on the Maze. I also enjoyed the view and didn’t want to leave the Capital One room but the boys couldn’t want to get into the Maze.

All of us went back downstairs and walked through the shops on the way to see Santa. I was surprised to see Charlie excited about seeing Santa because he had been telling me there wasn’t a Santa. I was able to get a photo of Aiden and Charlie together which was a Blessing because the boys may go to different schools next year.Through the picture Charlie will always have a picture of him and Aiden as well as memories from Enchant.

Tammy called to let me know her and her mom were at Globe Life Park and we went to meet them. Once they got inside we all walked over to the Maze. I had been through the Maze last year I decided to sit out with Tammy’s mom who didn’t think she could walk through the Maze. I was so glad I did because being with Tammy’s mom was like being with my mom.

I loved hearing the excitement in Tammy and Aiden voices when they came back from the Maze. Both Aiden and Tammy let me know they couldn’t wait to share Enchant with everyone they knew. Tammy’s mom let me know she would like to return with her other grandson Ian before she returns home.

Once we gathered everyone up we walked through the shops and Tammy did Christmas Shopping as well as purchasing a Hot Dog from the Concession Stands. We all thought of purchasing Hot Chocolate but it was late and the boys wanted to go and show Tammy Santa’s Village. As we walked up both Tammy and her mom couldn’t stop saying how pretty the Globe where Santa was sitting was.

The boys wanted to go look at the Ice Skating Park so we all walked outside and they asked to Skate. I didn’t realize there was a charge for the boys to Skate and I hadn’t brought any money with me. Which is okay because this gives us a reason to return to Enchant before it closes at the end of December.

I was sorry that we missed Story Time with Mrs. Claus although if were able to return Enchant this year.  Story Time with Mrs. Claus will be one of the first events I visit after taking the boys to the Ice Skating Rink. Then through the Maze so I have Peace and Quite when I visit the Vendors to do some of my Christmas Shopping with.

I will even be able to bring my mother in law with us the next time we attend Enchant because Sherry can bring her Scooter. Or borrow a wheelchair which will be available on-site and free of chargeWheelchairs and scooters will be allowed inside the maze. As for Strollers they are allowed inside Globe Life Park, but not on the Maze itself. There will be a complimentary Stroller Valet inside Enchant.
