Fort Worth Museum Science History

Last Tuesday David took the day off to spend with Charlie and I. I wanted to do something new and different for school. I decided we should do a Field Trip.

Charlie can’t wait to study this Genus and he would like to know if you would like to come and learn with us.

We went to the Fort Worth Museum Science and History. The last time I was here I had my niece and nephew and we wasn’t Homeschooling so we spent all of our time in the Children’s Museum.

David hadn’t been since he was child. I enjoyed seeing how excited Charlie was to show David exhibits he liked and talk to David about things Charlie wanted to learn more about.

I feel a lesson plan Unit Study on Dr. Seuss coming soon. Or our favorite children’s books which mine is Dr. Horton Hears A Who… What is your favorite children’s book?

We went into the Gift Shop and Charlie saw the Astronaut suits and let me know he always wanted one which I didn’t even know. Now, its on my Christmas Shopping List.

David and Charlie went to check out the Cattle Rustlers Museum while I sat and made notes for upcoming Lessons. Once the was done we ventured on and they found a interactive Dinosaur they could draw on and we had a lot of fun playing with it.

Charlie found a friend. I just hope he doesn’t expect me to feed him because we don’t have enough food for Charlie and a Dinosaur.

Charlie wanted to go outside and dig for Fossils but it was cold and had been raining so we will come back and bring our lessons on Fossils and Charlie can dig.

At home we can even make our own Garden and hide things for the kids to dig up. Or find rocks for them to trace. Charlie even said we could hunt for Fossils.

Charlie, David and I enjoyed designing our own Dino’s. Mine was a flower child, David’s was a Cow and what was Charlie’s??? Inquiring minds want to know and you will have to ask Charlie if you want to know…

Walking through the Museum was displays including Thomas Edison and I asked Charlie what he knew about him and what he would like to learn about him.

Charlie saw a group of students and I let Charlie and David know there was a school and they can’t wait to check for classes for Charlie to take. I reminded Charlie and David to always check the calendar online for Exhibits and Lectures they would like to attend.

Outside Water play anyone? I know I would like to play here.

David can’t wait to come back and have lunch here and to explore the Museum more with his friends. Knowing this I need to check into the membership plans and join here and the Fort Worth Zoo and we could spend the day doing hands on learning through Field Trips.
