Besides the new contest I wanted to let you know True Citrus sent me a variety of there products to try out in exchange for sharing the competition above with you. So I agreed to review the items they sent me. Although the thoughts in this review are all mine and mine alone.
The first product I came upon was a Peach Iced Tea, and as soon as I saw it, I knew both Charlie and David would love trying it out. Because Peach Tea is the flavor of tea David likes the most, and when Charlie was a baby this is all Charlie, and his dad would drink when we visited restaurants.
Back then they had there owned Lawn Mower company, and I kept them in Peach Iced Tea so they wouldn’t get too hot or dehydrated. I wish I had known about True Lemon back then because they both liked the flavor of this tea a lot and once the package was gone they both asked me to purchase it again for them.
As for me, I didn’t try the Peach Iced Tea from True Lemon as I am not a Peach person. I would purchase it to serve when we have guests over. I checked out the ingredients, and I liked seeing it only has 10 Calories and that there is only 1 gram of Sugar making it a lot healthier than other drinks we have purchased. Another feature I liked is knowing it is made from Real Fruit. Having 6 packets in a container means one box would last Charlie a week as I let him have one glass of soda or tea a week then he has to drink milk or water the rest of the day.
The second flavor we received from True Lemon was the Black Cherry Limeade as soon as I showed it to David he said we should take it down to his moms for his dad to try it out. As his dad loves Cherry Lime-Aids from Sonic which he can’t have because of all the Sugar and this package only has 1 gram of Sugar, made from Real Fruit.
David’s parents being a diabetic I think this drink would be healthy enough for them that they wouldn’t have to worry about there Blood Sugar raising from having a glass. David’s dad could even take a package with him to work to make when he has lunch, and it would be healthier than the Soda he usually drinks.
True Lemon Raspberry Lemonade one the third product I sent. Charlie and David both tried it when I was running errands the other day, and they enjoyed it a lot. David says the next time he makes him a glass that he wants to make it into a Slush as it would be so refreshing on a hot day in Texas.
Charlie let me know he thinks it would be fun to turn this one into a Popscycle which I wouldn’t mind doing as it is made of real fruit and like the others it only has 1 gram of Sugar and with Charlie having ADD?ADHD (Hyper) it wouldn’t wire him up so much that we couldn’t handle Charlie.
The fourth box we received was the True Lemon, and the guys each made them a glass as they enjoy Lemon Aide a lot, and they said it had a sweet, refreshing flavor, I liked this box as it had 32 packets in it which would last us a while. I could even see using this when I am cooking or backing and it was enhancing the recipes I am making.
David has decided to send a box of this to his daughter Leslie as she loves Lemon Aid and with 0 grams of Sugar she could let he son try it out, and it wouldn’t hurt him.
With Davids parents who are Diabetics. I like knowing each package is equivalent to one Lemon because when I purchase Lemons sometimes they go bad before I use them and I wouldn’t have to worry about that with this package.
For me, I wanted to try out the True Grapefruit as I love the taste of Grapefruit Juice plus I have heard it can help you lose weight, and if that is true, this is the perfect drink for me as I am working hard to lose as much weight as I can. I could purchase a Grapefruit for Breakfast, but I was afraid I wouldn’t finish it before it goes bad and with this new product I don’t have to worry about that as each package equals the taste of one grapefruit.
Another feature I liked is knowing there is 0g of fat, o g of Sodium ( because David can’t have it as it is salt), 0 grams of Sugar. The only downfall is there isn’t any protein which I need as it helps me in my weight loss journey. So I would grab a quick snack like cheese or nuts to go along with my drink.
The last package we tried was True Energy (with Caffeine) Wild Blackberry Pomegranate. I tried Blackberry Pomegranate out one day as I was rundown and tired. After trying it out I was able to focus, and I felt like I had more Energy and I could do the things I needed to get done. I also let Charlie try it out and he was able to stay more focused.
David asked to try it out, and at first, I didn’t want him to as it says with Caffeine which David isn’t supposed to have because of his heart issues but he tried it, and it didn’t bother him at all, and he didn’t become shaky. I could tell he was able to focus more and get more things done promptly. I will purchase this again for all of us.
