In HomeschoolingWithBoardGames: Clear For TakeOff from Blue Orange Games is the next Game Charlie has asked if we can play. We’ve had this game a while and haven’t played.

Its going to be fun to see what happens when playing Clear For TakeOff. I can’t wait to see what Charlie and David like about playing the new Game. Would you like to join us?

Clear For Takeoff will bring Charlie and David closer. David works for the Airport and we could take a Field Trip to the Airport to see the planes take-off.

While there we could have a Picnic Lunch and play Clear For Takeoff. Charlie could work on this weeks Art Project drawing the planes and things he sees around him.

Clear For Take Off

Fly your way to victory! Gather enough cards to send Airplanes through the different stages of takeoff, and then high into the sky! Navigate weather problems, mechanical failures and your opponents’ strategies in order to successfully launch your whole fleet.

Get all of your planes off the ground before your opponent’s do to win. This game has engaging, realistic gameplay because it was invented by a pilot!Skills:

Creative Writing : Research two of the planes found on the cards and write a report telling 2 reasons the plans are the same and 2 reasons the planes are different from each other.

Field Trip: Visit your local Airport and watch the planes take off and land. Create Snacks you would be served on the plan and have a Picnic Lunch. Don’t forget the Peanuts your given.

Math Class: There is 100 Cards create a worksheet using the numbers 100 to 100 using Addition, Subtraction and Division. Using 1, 2 ,3 and 4 digit numbers and see how long it takes you and your parents to do the worksheet.

Reading: Find a book about Planes, Airports or Transportation write 3 facts you learned from the book in your Reading Journal.

For Music Learn a song about Airplanes and sing it for your parents. If I were going to pick a song I would chose Leaving On A Jet Plane which is one of my favorite songs. Do you have a favorite song about Airplanes?

Cooking Class: Ask your parents to pick up Cookie Cutters featuring Transportation including Airplanes and make Sandwiches for your Picnic and if there is enough time back Cookies as well.
