Located in Newton Highlands, MA, Indalo Gallery, and Studio showcase local and regional artists’ talent by providing a venue for the sale of original artwork, and wearable art to support area artists in a one-of-a-kind, gallery setting. The gallery boasts many mediums including beadwork, precious metal clay, mixed media, resin, glass work, papercuts, woodworking, chain maille, and photography.

The gallery also offers open studio space where experts and novices alike can experiment and design with resin, fine silver clay, acrylic paint, colored pencils and a whole host of media. First-time artists can learn new skills while more experienced artists can hone their skills with a full schedule of classes to choose from – Bead Weaving, Precious Metal Clay, Resin, Children’s Jewelry Making to name a few. Private sessions are also available.  Classes taught by accomplished and certified artists within their niches.

Indalo also offers children’s classes which are taught by an early education specialist who offers jewelry design and construction to students ages 4 and up. The classes are meant to be fun and creative, and infused with a dose of math skills and excellent motor enrichment thrown in for good measure! Each child leaves the class with at least one original design. The studio is also available for individual or small group jewelry making lessons during the week and Saturdays with notice to ensure their specialist will be available.

Owner Jill Becker is a triple threat herself – she is an accomplished photographer/artist, Physician, and art healer. Part of the mission at Indalo Gallery and Studio is to provide a space where people can be creative in support of personal growth and development.

As such, the gallery offers one-to-one and small-group sessions during which one can freely (and safely) talk about challenges while enjoying the pleasure of making art.

The program, called Art and Intimacy, will help resolve conflicts, reduce stress, increase self-esteem, self-awareness, and personal insight. Even if one doesn’t necessarily see herself/himself as creative, the focus of Art and Intimacy is on developing and expressing that which comes from inside –not on what is seen in the outside world or on the ability to render it. Art is intuitively accessible to everyone! More information can found here:
