The Mountain and The Goat

This is a review for a new children’s book called The Mountain and The Goat. I received a copy of The Mountain and The Goat in exchange for the review. The thoughts in this review is mine and mine alone.

The Mountain and The Goat: A modern-day fable designed to plant the seeds of resourcefulness and take-action mentality. Children's book for ages 5-8. by [Siamak Taghaddos]

In a world of uncertainty and not knowing what is happening day to day. It was nice to sit down with Charlie and read The Mountain and The Goat. Charlie and I saw someone doing things others.

Charlie and I discussed lessons we could learn from The Mountain and The Goat including how we should pay it forward. Second Charlie learned how a little kindness can go a long way.

As well as opening new doors you might not expect to open. There were words inside The Mountain and The Goat Charlie and I can use on our spelling test and for Vocabulary this week.

We saw animals inside the book which we can add to our animal studies. Including goats and cows. Charlie also about the different occupations mentioned in The Mountain and The Goat and tools they use.

We saw pictures in The Mountain and The Goat which Charlie can practice drawing in his Art class. Occupations we can look up and we can research people in our town to find people that dose this type of work and take a Virtual Field Trip to there job.

Charlie and I will be studying fables this year. The Mountain and The Goat is at the top of our reading list. As well as researching the Author to learn more about him.

About:

“Effectively underscores the importance of action, resourcefulness, and teamwork” – Kirkus Reviews

Wonderfully illustrated, The Mountain & The Goat is a must-have in every child’s collection. It’s a lovely modern-day fable designed to instill the values of resourcefulness and take-action mentality.

Let’s Create a Generation of Resourceful Children!

Most schools don’t directly teach children how to take advantage of the opportunities that life presents, a valuable life skill known as “resourcefulness.”

Starting early is the key to developing an entrepreneurial can-do attitude that will be invaluable for your child’s future. Which is what I hope to instill into Charlie.

This book accomplishes all of that, and much more! With friendly and inviting characters, this fun and timeless story inspired by on an ancient Persian poem hits home in a very simple way, much like the other children’s classics we all know and love.

A Timeless Message Wrapped Up in a Simple Adventure

Follow the main character as they take the actions of success in a sequential order, using all the resources they have gained through their relationships to further their story.

It shows:

– The gradual progression of life, where one thing leads to another.

– The necessity to build upon your previous successes in order to move forward.

– How to make the right choices to end up where you want in life.

All of the language in The Mountain and the Goat is very simple, the story extremely easy to follow, and the characters very transparent – in short, perfectly designed for a child’s learning process.

Not only will your child find the story engaging and thought-provoking, they will also remember its simple lessons for the rest of their lives!

Written to Spark a Lifetime of Progression!

Emigrating from Iran at the age of 6 during the Iran/Iraq war, Siamak Taghaddos is an entrepreneur who has started and sold multiple companies of his own.

But this is much more than a children’s book written by an entrepreneur. It was born out of the author’s own experience, hearing a Persian poem from his father that influenced his decisions later in life.

His only hope is that this book will affect your child in the same way.

A MODERN-DAY FABLE– Children learn best through stories that engage their imagination and cause them to ponder the themes and lessons being taught. The best stories have a clear moral, and this one is no exception.

TIMELESS WISDOM – Resourcefulness might best be described as, “the ability to take advantage of the opportunities life provides.” The best part is, this immortal lesson will never “go out of style,” or become less useful with time.

A GRAND ADVENTURE – Explore a wide world filled with many vibrant characters, all involved in a sweeping story that takes your child’s mind from the base of the mountain to the heights of accomplishment – in gripping bite-sized pieces.

INSPIRED BY AN OLD PERSIAN POEM – This modern-day take on an enduring classic will warm your heart and have a profoundly positive effect on your child’s mindset about life.

PLANT THE SEEDS OF TOMORROW’S SUCCESS – The Mountain and The Goat is written by the founder of several companies as well as National Entrepreneur’s Day inspired by a poem that had a great impact on his success.
