Ultimate Blog Challenge [UBC] Day 8 April 8th, 2023

Good morning, welcome to Easter Weekend. I hope this post finds you well. We was asked this morning if we work on the weekends or take Saturday and Sunday off. In my home it depends on what is happening. I usually work early in the morning on Saturday then when Charlie gets up we eat brunch and watch a movie.

If Charlie has plans to go to his grandmothers to play basketball or is going back upstairs to play in his game, then I may work a bit and then get off and watch a movie or read a book. No, matter what I am working on I do my best to be through by 3pm when David gets home so we can cook dinner and spend time together.

On Sunday’s I reserve it for Family Day unless Charlie goes to Church. Then I work until Charlie gets home. We used to use Sunday for cleaning our home for the week and laundry but now we do this on Monday which is David’s day off and also the day we go grocery shopping. For me I seem to take Monday’s off although I do try and work a littler here and there.

On the 24th life is changing for us again. My sister will be off on Monday and Tuesday and we will go walking. Then I will be back to work from 10 to 3 when David gets home. On Wednesday or Thursday, I will work from 7am till 10o:30 then one of these days I have lunch with my best friend unless she ends up moving. Then I come home and work.

Friday and Saturday beginning on April 24th will be David’s new days off allowing us to attend events and things as a family which we haven’t been able to do in a while. As well as going on Homeschool Field Trips and mini trips to see my Aunt and brother whom we haven’t seen in 2 years. As you can see the LORD is good and when working from home you can pick and choose when and how you work. As well as with Homeschooling. Which might not be the best for everyone but it is what is best for my family.

  1. My husband’s schedule changed so that he has Monday’s off. It has been wonderful and we’ve started a tradition of going to an early evening movie showing. The theatre is generally almost empty!

  2. Your schedule sounds busy. I hope you get a break soon and get to visit your aunt and brother!
What made you decide to homeschool?
