Unique Holidays: June 17th, 2021

Welcome back to our series sharing Unique Holidays: June 17th, 2021. Take a look at the Holidays celebrated this morning and let me know which one you most would like to celebrate and why.

Eat Your Vegetables Day

National Eat Your Veggies Day

Today is Eat Your Vegetables Day and this would have been a Holiday my mom loved because she loved her Vegetables. In a way I am like my mom because I like Vegetables I just don’t eat as many as she would or the kids she liked.

As for David he will hate knowing today is Eat Your Vegetables Day because he hates most every Vegetable which isn’t healthy. As for Charlie he used to like Vegetables but he is turning out more like his dad and doesn’t want to eat them which isn’t good.

Strategically created in the middle of National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, its the perfect opportunity to re-introduce a healthy portion of vegetables into your diet. No doubt about it, Eat Your Vegetables Day was created to promote a more healthy diet…….for life!

On this day, your encouraged to eat Vegetables for every meal, and for a snack. Better still, try to be a Vegetarian….for the day. Short of that, any additional Vegetables at meal time today will honor the event, as well as make you a little healthier.

We encourage parents to let the kids help with dinner, preparing the Salad and Vegetables. Along the way, you tell your kids a little about the importance of vegetables for a long and healthy life.
