I know you’ve heard talk of us creating a series called All Things Taco to share on #TacoTuesday. There wouldn’t be Taco Tuesday without Tortilla’s which I’ve always wanted to learn to make. How about you? Would you want to learn how to make Tortilla’s or do you know how?
Today I wanted to share a post that shows you how everything connects in Taco Tuesday. As we’ve gotten a recipe for you to make Tortillas for your family and this recipe will become the heart of Taco Tuesday. If you make the Tortilla’s let me know what you thought of them and why.
In my home Grandma’s tortillas were simple, warm, and real. Made the way families have always made them—soft, flexible, and better when shared. This recipe is more than food. It’s memory. A trip back into my childhood into my grandmother’s kitchen.
Butter melting into warm Tortillas cooked in my grandmother’s favorite skillet. Kids helping in the kitchen. David still cooking in his own way now, carrying forward the same idea that food doesn’t have to be perfect to matter.
These tortillas become the base for everything in Taco Tuesday. And once you’ve prepared this recipe is it connects back into every single Taco night, we host from here forward. Because everything becomes a taco. Or does it?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
