Easter is here and most families are getting ready for Church and Easter Egg Hunts and dinner later in the day. Before the day gets away from us and Charlie and I get ready to go to Lisa’s I wanted to share a 🌅 Mile Marker Grace: Easter Morning Prayer for Moms Who Carry So Much
🌸 Introduction: When Easter Morning Doesn’t Look Like the Movies
Easter morning is supposed to feel peaceful — soft sunlight, pastel dresses, kids smiling sweetly with their baskets. But if you’re a mom, you already know the truth: Easter morning is beautiful, meaningful, and absolutely chaotic. It never seems to slow down as people are needing things and you have a million and one things to do.
Because someone can’t find their shoes. Someone else is crying because their basket “isn’t fair.” The dog is barking. The eggs aren’t hidden yet. And you’re trying to hold the entire day together with grace, caffeine, and a prayer.
That’s why the Mile Marker Grace series exists — to give moms a moment of grounding at the exact point where life feels like too much. Today’s mile marker is Easter morning, and this prayer is for you.
🙏 Easter Morning Prayer (Mile Marker Grace Series)
Dear Lord,
Thank You for this Easter morning — a reminder that hope rises even when life feels heavy. Thank You for the promise of renewal, the gift of grace, and the strength You give me even when I feel stretched thin. Thank you for this Circus and these Monkes and helping me keep the circle unbroken.
Please bless my home today: As well as Lisa Marie Bird who invited us into her home today. The excited kids, the sleepy adults, the family who will gather, and the people who test my patience before I’ve had coffee. Bless the conversations, the meals, the laughter, and even the messes.
Help me remember that perfection isn’t the goal — presence is. Help me slow down enough to notice the joy tucked inside the chaos. Help me show love even when I’m tired, patience even when I’m overwhelmed, and gratitude even when the day doesn’t go as planned.
Let this Easter morning be filled with peace, purpose, and gentle reminders that You are with me in every moment — from the quiet sunrise to the noisy kitchen. Which I thank you for.
Amen.
