Just because a child graduates, their disabilities don’t go away — and learning should never stop.

I must admit, with both Suzzane and Charlie, homeschooling wasn’t our first plan — it was our answered prayer.

Both of them struggled in public school. Not because public school is wrong, but because it wasn’t the right fit. Suzzane faced reading challenges, and Charlie has ADHD, learning disabilities, and a unique learning style. Like his sister, he needed more time, more patience, more movement, more hands-on learning, and more one-on-one support.

Homeschooling gave us the freedom to teach at their pace. It gave them space to breathe… and it gave our family peace.

My family learned to adapt.
We learned to slow down.
We learned to celebrate even the smallest victories.

And through every challenge, God reminded us that we were exactly where we needed to be.

Then COVID happened… and our journey grew even more. I found myself helping Bradely as you know Charlie’s best friend, who is on medication for ADHD, and David, who struggles with reading and writing. Our homeschool became more than a choice — it became a lifeline for our entire family.

This is why I continue to share.
Because there are other families out there walking this same path.
Because no child’s story ends at graduation.
Because learning, growth, and support don’t stop.

And most importantly… because you are not alone on this journey. 🌸

We learned to adapt as families and do what is right for us no, one else. Thanks to homeschooling my family learned to slow down, and we learned to celebrate small victories.

And through every challenge, God reminded us that we were exactly where we needed to be.
