5 Activities To Make 2018 Father’s Day Special

Father’s day is almost here!

Life is about celebrating one another achievements. Sometimes, we are busy to notice the contribution we receive from our immediate friends and family to make life a success. For this reason, some days in a calendar have been set aside to celebrate people who matter in our lives. Father’s day is around the corner, and here we look at five activities to make 2018 father’s day special. Catch one of the events and treat someone special.

How to celebrate father’s day

First, it is vital for one to honor the father. However, this is not limited to your dad only. Celebrate your husband, brother or someone whom at one time held a fathers position in your life.

  1. Quotes and Cards

Write some quotes down that describe who a father is and what he means in your life. Mention memorable moments that he held your hand when you would not have walked on your own. Such quotes are emotional to fathers when they remember they are loved. Cards also bear similar messages of love and how important a father is to a family.

  1. Gifts and Shopping

Presenting a surprise gift is the best moment a dad can have in his life. The season is due, and there are a lot of presents available. What does your dad love best? Is there something he has been trying to buy and your budget favors you? Then this is is the time to purchase that gift. However, if he is particular about his likes, take him with you for shopping. He will appreciate you choosing what is pleasing to him.

  1. Paid Meal and Holiday

Most families have common rules of having meals together especially dinner. Mothers should let the children understand its father’s day, and you will treat them out to lunch or dinner. A paid meal will make him realize how much you appreciate him. Surprise him with a paid holiday of one night away from home. Pay for a spa day or a massage while he is on holiday.

  1. Quality Family Time

Fathers are never to busy to meet their family needs, and they never forget they need time with them. On father’s day, together with the children, visit a park, museum, or have a family barbeque to celebrate him. You can also visit some galleries where you can see different art and culture. If you plan to stay indoors, then make sure you have plenty of play items where you all can compete. Or choose a cookery competition and see who will cook the best omelet.

 5. Catch a Game or Live Entertainment

The world cup is around the corner and men are great fans of soccer. You may not fly to the host country but pay for a ticket where a big screen will be showing the games of the day, and this may be hard for women to sit and watch a full game, but, remember it’s his day out. Also, a day well spent at the theatre to attend a current play or a music concert will be the best treat he will remember this year.

Getting quality time to spend at home with a father is a good feeling. The family feels protected knowing the “lion” is around nothing terrible will happen. Thanks to the heavens for this special day set aside to celebrate the men who mean the world to us. This year’s father’s day, seize every moment that will give him the best memorable moments of the year. If your budget is tight, quality time spent together in the family house is acceptable.  For people who their fathers are in different cities or country, call him and wish him a Happy Father’s Day.

Thank you,

  1. We will be spending lots of quality family time on Father’s Day. The entire family will gather at my daughter’s house for lunch and an afternoon together. Usually, this gathering is held at my house so I’m looking forward to having it elsewhere.

  2. These are some great ideas. I love when my son makes his own cards for us. It shows his creativity. I will be taking my husband out to eat for Father’s Day. You have some other great ideas here and I may incorporate a couple of them.

  3. Quality family time is what we enjoy. Big BBQ with good food, fun outdoor games, homemade cards and some phone calls from relatives. Turns out to be a wonderful day.

  4. We have a nice quiet day planned for my husband this year. We have a cookout to go to, but we are planning to give him a nice relaxing day.

  5. When my kids were small we would always make little notes for dad. Now that they are grown, he still has them and we made a collage for his office.

  6. These are all great ideas and we should honor our dads who do so much and keep our families together with the moms. I have to take our guy out and even let him watch the game.

I can’t believe Father’s Day is almost here and I still haven’t figured out what to get my Dad. He can be quite challenging to find the right gift for.

  8. My husband loves being at home more than going out. So we always do breakfast and dinner at home of his choice. He has already requested bacon for breakfast.

  9. It would be nice to plan a day to make a Father feel special this Father’s Day! These are all so beautiful ways to make him feel loved and appreciated for everything that he does!

  10. I love your ideas! We are doing something new: we are going to surprise my husband with a water balloon fight! We are into those experiences that make memories at our age! 🙂

  11. Spending quality time is always a must on Father’s Day. This year our son’s birthday falls on Father’s Day so we are sure to find a way to celebrate both Father’s Day and our kid’s birthday and make both feel special. Tomi

  12. Personalize card is always the best idea for me when it comes to gifts. And of course spending quality time is big factor for every family.

  13. I’m driving to my home city for Father’s Day weekend and can’t wait to see my dad. These are great ideas for things we can do when I get there. Thanks for sharing.

  14. You’ve got some great ideas here. We’re planning on spending quality time together at the beach.
